7:42am  I haven’t made an update this morning yet. I woke up around six. I got about six and a half hours of sleep or so. I didn’t get dressed and put my cargo shorts on. I still have all my pants on. I just grabbed my shit and stuffed it in my bag and climbed down from the rooftop. I’m going to sit in front of the Starbucks and organize my stuff. I saw the guy who I met the first day I was here, that bought me a hot chocolate and said I made his day. He’s got a huge dog. Oh yeah, I found me a brand new pack of American Spirits, thank you LOVE.

9:35am  I forgot to tell you, I’m walking back from Project Understanding. Lorenzo is getting on my nerves. All he does is complain and bitch. He’s so asleep. He needs to wake the fuck up. For some reason he wanted to wait for me while I packed my stuff up at the Starbucks. We started walking towards the Avenue. We were right in front of the mission and the city bus pulled up, that goes straight to where we were going. I told Lorenzo I was going to try and get a courtesy ride and went to the door of the bus. Lorenzo was all, “Yeah, right. You’ll never get one of those,” and kept walking. I asked the nice black lady driver, “I don’t suppose I could get a courtesy ride down the Avenue, please? I’ll walk it if I have to.” She waved me on real quick and I got on. Lorenzo kept walking. I was sure to give him the peace sign and laugh at him as I passed him by, sucker. So I got a ride all the way to Project this morning. You do not have because you do not ask, Lorenzo. He’s all brainwashed wanting a job and shit. He was all, “No, I work, I work.” He doesn’t work. He has no job. All he does is complain and bitch. He’s a dependent. I’m walking back now. I’m thinking it’s time to leave town and go type my stuff up somewhere. I’m not going to do Sanjon anymore. I played out Ventura. I’m just going to tell my story and pass out my website and try and get smoked out.

9:47am  I walked back down to Main Street and I’m going to fly my HOOK A BROTHER UP sign for busfare to Isla Vista. Oh yeah, I still have to wait for that laptop from April. I have to wait until eleven thirty for the library to open.

11:52am  Russell at Catholic Charities gave me two cigarettes. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit.

11:57am  I went to Catholic Charities. Before I went and stood in front of the Rabobank. That’s where I was standing when I got that twenty bucks with my HOOK A BROTHER UP sign, just having fun. I even have my FREE HUGS sign handy. I didn’t get any hugs though. I wanted some weed, so I went over to the park and the alcoholic punks were there. I walked up and asked them if they had any weed. This one guy tells me he only has a bowl. I pulled out my camouflage do-rag I scored in Cincinnati earlier this year and gave it to him. He put it on real quick and just gave me a tiny bit of bottom-of-the-bag trim. Oh well. Then it was time for lunch so I walked to Catholic Charities. The library is about to open right now and I’m going to do some typing.

It was awesome, I made my way to the mission park and I saw Shauna there, the pregnant girl with pink hair. I asked her what the minimum she would sell me is and she said five bucks. This old guy who was sitting with her asked me how much I had and I said two bucks. He had my back with three bucks and he let me have it all! I came by the Rabobank again and I have my bag set up on the corner. I’ll take a picture.

2:35pm  Sweet, this kid wearing a South Dakota hat riding a skateboard just walked up to me and handed me a nugget! I gave him a hug and told him, “Way to support the cause.”

2:48pm  I just had an awesome presentation with Officer Drake. I was doing my thang in front of the Rabobank and he came up to me and asked me, “Do you have permission from the bank to store your bags there?” Then he saw my bag and said, “World peace through marijuana? How does that work?” I got to tell him a little of my story and gave him my website. I told him I wasn’t asking for money. That I was a volunteer.

3:17pm  I am telling Laura my story. She saw me the other day at Sanjon under the bridge. What do you think so far of the story, Laura? Laura: “It’s captivating, interesting, entertaining.”

4:45pm  They told me no at Taqueria Vallarta. Man, nobody wants world peace. I got me a dollar fifty taco.

4:57pm  The guy ended up being cool at the taqueria. He hooked me up with a lot of food for a dollar fifty. Two big tacos.

5:07pm  I finished eating my tacos in the grassy area. I’m going to walk to the library and do another hour of typing at the Foster library. I am already in Ventura in my typing.

5:41pm  I called April and she said her dad said he had to think about it. So I can pretty much forget about that. That was the only thing tying me down to Ventura, so I’m going to go to Isla Vista tomorrow.

7:22pm  I just had an awesome presentation with Nick and Michelle, this couple that just got out of a bar. They were drinking, but they listened to me hardcore.

I just checked my stats today and it’s been spreading like wildfire recently. Like 300 visits a day or less.

7:27pm  William was nice enough to give me a dollar. Everybody gets credit, man. Thanks a lot.

7:35pm  Mike and Audrey just volunteered me some food. I was hungry, too.

8:02pm  Hell yeah, I got blessed with food! I had been considering going to bed around five, when it started to get dark. I was going to crash on the rooftop. Then I thought it was too early to go crash and I was kind of hungry and didn’t want to go to bed on an empty stomach. I assumed my post in front of the movie theatre and did a sewing project on my bag. I reinforced my .com. Mike and Audrey hooked me up with two orders of dank food. I ate one order and I have a gourmet breakfast tomorrow.

Next day..
