Ventura, CA

9:41pm Let's see, I filled up my digital voice recorder so I'm writing in this 2006 calendar. Right now I am at the Seaward Chevron sitting down with a sign that says Going South? I doubt I'll get a ride tonight. Man, I need to tell you how I am famous in Ventura. Everywhere I go people recognize me. From all my sign-flying at Sanjón and in front of the Chevron. Yesterday morning when I was sitting on a bench in front of the Vons shopping center this guy walks by me and I smiled at him. He walks back and tells me, "Hey, I checked your website." He told me he wanted to do a documentary on me!
Let me tell you how I fly my about how I fly my World Peace Through Marijuana sign. First off, on one side it says WORLD PEACE THROUGH MARIJUANA and on the other it says havethisbook.com. I stand there holding it and get sooo many smiles. it's great. Almost everyone agrees with me. When they pull up to the red light I hold out a piece of paper with my site and yell, "Will you check out my website? It's free." If they roll down the window to accept it I hand it to them saying, "It's no religious, I promise." They usually laugh at that. Then, as I'm backing away from their car I yell, "They didn't call them peace pipes for nothing!"
But, if they just pull up or ignore me or start shaking their head when I offer my site to them, I yell, "Man, nobody wants world peace!" If they have kids in their cars I yell, "Poor kids!" Then I yell, "Ignorance is bliss." Or, if they look like they deserve it I yell, "Have you always been that ignorant?!" I have so much fun. People kick me down all day. Tonight is the first night my nug-jar has been empty since I left Carol at River Haven about five days ago. About Carol, I am so happy since I left her. Even Armando noticed I had a brighter aura since I left. Because I am happy again, I told him. Anyway, I feel like my work in Ventura is done, so I'm going to try and get a ride to Venice Beach and saturate that town.
Next day..
