3:34pm  Carol: "It's our first day here. It's Valentine's Day. We are at The Black Bear Ranch(check out this youtube on it). Victor and I had a little, we broke up this morning. I went for a walk. I was going to leave. So was Victor. I got like halfway down the road. Earlier this morning I was talking to one of the girls here. She was telling me about the amazing history of this place. Back in the sixties the Diggers basically just went to the people that were making money off the revolution and got in their face and told them, "Listen, man. We are living the revolution and you're making money off of it, so donate money to our cause. The Monkees donated money and The Doors. All these people. That's how they got them to do it. This one guy burned the American flag on his living room floor to make a point. One of the paintings in the main room by the piano is done by one of The Diggers. The clothes upstairs where we are has all this Diggers stuff. It's where everybody comes when they first come here. It always needs to be cleaned so we are going to take on that project. This morning we helped build a fence for wild horses which are coming in a couple days. I really like it here. I would like to stay here. Victor's going to go tell his story and that's pretty much why we broke up.
As I was walking down the road I realized something. I remembered Victor telling me how I told him how I felt about getting social security, that it's better us to have the money than the government. The government has taken it from us, the people. That's why they have the money. We put them in charge of it. They have misspent it. That money is going with your name on it on a missile that's going to be bombing children. We don't want that, so we've decided we are taking our money back. Fuck those bitches. I'm going to write all this down. I hope they read it and I hope they read this. Because we are tired of them. Robin Hood is back. We're going to take from the rich and give to the poor. We're going to use the money the government gives us and we're going to use it to grow weed. We are going to give the money to this commune. We're going to help a bunch of hippies live off the land. Now what? You know. Because we are tired of it.
While I was walking down the road I remembered that that was the whole reason me and Victor got together. It can work. He's the first person I've met that's actually doing something more than just talking about a revolution. He's actually out there making it happen. Then the question is what happens after it happens? Then what? I want to create the then-what here, you know. So Victor's decided to go with me and get this money that's rightfully ours because it's been taken from us. They're misusing it and mismanaging it, so we are going to remanage it for them and put it to better use. Get Victor a laptop with a solar panel so he can come here and write when he wants to.
Probably in about a week we are going to go down to Eureka and file all our paperwork and do everything we need. I'll get my Depo shot. We might even have to stay in Arcata a couple nights. It'd be better than driving all the way back to the ranch. We'll see what happens. Umm, Victor wants to go to San Antonio. Soon we will part ways, but in love. I'm going to stay here and we'll talk to each other through email. Hopefully these guys will let me stay here. I'll put all my energy into this place. I hope I can keep up with them. I don't know if they know how old I am. Or how broken I am. It's good. I'm going to totally lose weight here. All the walking is already helping me. I feel really, really good about being here. It's going to be good, definitely. We're going to start a revolution.
Victor and I, we are not going to fight. We're going to treat each other good because we love each other. We can still go our separate ways and still love each other.

Next day..
