5:30am I just came in my mom's backyard. I woke up up at five. I went to sleep kind of early last night. I just realized I lost my grievance form! Holy shit! I lost my grievance form. Damnit. I know I typed it up and send it in an email. I can get it again and just print it out or something. But, I need that grievance form. Shit.
5:47am It is official. I have lost my grievance form. What the hell? What did I do yesterday? I need to backtrack.
I just listened to my recording. I remember showing Sam my grievance form at his apartment. I'm going to go see if I left it there. That's the only place it could be. I thought maybe I left it at the Tower Life Building. I checked my recording and I had stopped at Sam's afterwards.
It should be at Sam's.
I hope.
9:06am I had already taken off to the park. I was going to take my nature hike to the Walmart. I just realized I forgot my water bottle. I gotta go back. I only walked a couple blocks.
Oh yeah, I looked up that lawyer, Edward Piña. He's got a Datapoint address. 8114 Datapoint. I'm going to go talk to him today.
Oh yeah, one of my projects today can be to go to Cafe Revolucion. That's over by the jail on Frio Street.
9:46am This sucks! I'm at the entrance of the park and they took down the GRASS sign! That thing was up for years. Unless they just covered it up. Now it has a gay colorful sign that says grass real small and Calloways Nursery open Sundays. It's got gay-ass flowers. That sucks.
Ugh.
9:57am For some reason I went in the right trail right when you come in the entrance. I kind of thought I was going to the wrong way so I doubled-back towards the front. I said, "Screw it, I'll just walk Bandera to the Walmart." I stopped by the grass place and asked some guy outside, "Hey man, is the sign gone for good?" He told me it's just covered up. Whew. That's good.
10:19am I just got to the Walmart. I'm going to go get some water.
10:30am Jose me dio una cerveza aqui en el bus stop en el Walmart. Te lo agradezco, Jose. Todo el mundo recibe crédito, gracias.
11:00am I am on the bus now. I smoked some kid out at the bus stop.
11:37am Mr. Almanza hooked me up with a ride to West. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
11:49am I just rode the 91. Man, I got a courtesy ride from Mr. Almanza. I told him my shit and he agreed with everything I said. I got off on Datapoint. I was going to go to West, but I got off on Datapoint.
11:50am Guess where the lawyer's is at? The lighthouse! The Ariel House that I remember delivering pizzas to.
12:14pm I'm leaving the Ariel House. I've got an appointment on the fourteenth.
12:34pm I'm standing out here waiting for the bus, the 91. In front of the Broadway Bank on Datapoint and Fredericksburg.
12:38pm The 91 to West finally came.
12:54pm Arien saw me at West. He said, "Hey Victor, you make tracks." "That's right, I'm everywhere." She hooked me up with some cookies. I appreciate it, Arien.
1:35pm The 91 didn't give me a courtesy ride. Oh well.
1:59pm Mr. Garza told me no. He said, "The next bus will give you one." I told him, "Thanks anyway, drive carefully."
2:03pm Ross, being cool, hooked me up with a ride to the hospital. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit in my game, thanks.
2:25pm I'm back at the hospital. He even hooked me up with a transfer.
2:51pm I forgot to tell you. I'm bored so I'm going to walk to Planet K. Let's see how long it takes me.
3:00pm There's a taco place here on Babcock and Wurzbach. Let's see if I can score.
No-go.
3:29pm I'm getting close to Tia Loli's by Planet K. I'm going to go see if I can score some food. I'll tell her, "I just walked three miles without any food in my stomach. Will you hook me up with some gasoline?"
I scored at the Mediterranean place. I just walked in and told them my line and they hooked it up fat. Gave me a big plate of food. I told them, "Thanks for proving me right. Everybody's got it in them."
4:13pm I ran into some guy who saw me at the mosque one time. That was a long time ago. He actually came over and let me tell him my story. He said, "Hey, do you need some batteries for your recorder? Where's your recorder? You had it last time." I pulled it out. He said, "Do you need some batteries?" I told him, "Yeah, these should run out any minute now."
4:15pm Ahmed went inside and bought me a couple batteries. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit.
That guy came up and talked to me. There's all these Middle Eastern stores around here. Wurzbach and Evers. I had met that dude at the temple one time. Dude, I talked his ear off. In the end he told me, "You can believe in Love if you want." I've been having some good presentations.
5:21pm Dude, I just scored my magazine at Planet K! Just like I called it from the beginning. The minute I lost it on the bus yesterday I had thought, "I'll get it back. I just got to go back to Planet K and tell them my story and they'll hook me up with another one, because I need to type it up." It's a good thing that the cool girl was there who had hooked me up with my pipe(2-13-04, 10:17am). I was outside and I saw this one dude come out. Some guy who works here who is always giving me dirty looks. I don't think he likes me. I saw him go outside and I thought, "Oh cool, I can go talk to that girl." I don't remember her name, but the one who hooked me up with the pipe. I'll look it up. Stephanie. When I went back in there I was able to get her attention. I told her, "Did I tell you I went to jail?" I showed her my grievance form that I transcribed this morning. I told her my whole situation and my On My Way to Save the World sign-flying and how I had gotten those six dollars and I was meant to have that magazine that night. I even told her, "You could even just let me borrow it so I can copy that article, then I'll bring it back." She agreed. She's hooking me up and letting me take the magazine.
I'll bring it back.
5:36pm I just asked this fat dude getting into his car, "Hey man, do you have a cigarette?" He said, "No, I don't smoke cigarettes. Cigarettes kill you." I should've told him, "No, cars kill you. And they smoke more than us."
5:49pm Makina, I asked her for a cigarette and she gave me a clove. I appreciate it, sister. Everybody gets credit.
5:52pm Man, I'm getting hooked up at the Planet K. I asked them, "Hey, do you guys have a well I could tap?" The guy said, "Man, you can just grab one of the Planet K water bottles. I love the Planet K water bottles.
The dude who hooked me up, his name was Blake.
Oh yeah, I had called Stephanie and Meg and they came to Planet K with my bag. They were nice enough to give me a ride over to Sam's apartment.
6:22pm I got my grievance form back at Sam's. Whew.
6:53pm I'm at my mom's house already. Man, this day turned out a lot better. It had started to suck. I thought I was getting sick. Like I'm coughing a lot and I've got a lot of phlegm. I should really cut back on smoking. I didn't bring any cigarettes home today. I'm not going to smoke for the rest of the night. I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
It was really, really cool how the day worked out towards the end. And it was really cool that Sam did indeed have my grievance form. I got everything I needed back. I got my bag back, my poncho, and my magazine.
7:35pm That's really weird. The phone just rang a lot. I went to go pick it up and it said Private Caller on the called id. I finally answered and said hello. Just silence. Nobody said anything. I better watch it, they're coming for me, hehe.
Here's that article: Abolish Schools
