Ahhhh, I love this apartment so much. It’s Sunday and I am sitting in the lap of luxury here. I really lucked out in getting this one. It’s in the first building, right up front next to the street. Bus-wise, this is heaven.
My ex-girlfriend had told me that her mother would let me use her car to move the rest of my things but I said no. For some strange reason I wanted to do all of the rest of the move on the bus. I don't know. I’m on this independence-kick and I don’t want anyone helping me. The only thing I needed help with was my bed.
Now what’s a bachelor-pad without a computer? I was going to use this big box that I had saved, that had handles. I knew I wouldn’t be able to take both the monitor and computer on one trip.
I chose to get the hard part out of the way first and loaded the monitor in the box. It’s only a seventeen inch monitor but it was still a bitch to carry. I was paranoid the bottom of the box was going to break during the walk to the bus stop. Luckily, it didn’t.
Oh man, so I finally made it to the bus stop and waited for the bus. It came and I got on and rode it to where I needed to transfer to the bus that would take me home. I got home and lugged the box up the stairs, entered my badass, empty apartment and put the monitor on the floor in the room right in front of the bed. I emptied out the box. I planned to use it again with the computer.
I smoked a cigarette while I waited for the bus to go back to my girlfriend’s apartment. Next step was to get the computer case, all my CDs and other computer shit. I loaded up my trusty box which wasn’t heavier than the one before with the monitor. Then I remembered, "Oh yeah, my card-playing table(that I use for my computer), shit!"
So what I ended up doing was taking the box to the bus stop first. I looked around and right behind the bus-stop there was a veterinarian clinic that was closed because it was Sunday. Perfect. I set the box down by the front door and started walking back to my girlfriend’s apartment to get the table.
I grabbed the table and started back to the stop. I looked at my watch(which is synchronized to the second with the bus-satellite) and the bus was almost due. I started running with the table. I’m glad I did because right when I got to the entrance of the apartment I saw the bus go by. I waved him down and he stopped and waited, nice guy. After he stopped and opened the door I got on with the table and asked him, "Sir, do you mind if I run and get that box that’s out there? I’m moving on the bus today." At first, he was a dickhead and told me, "Tough, you’ll have to catch the next bus(which wasn’t for another hour, remember it’s Sunday). I looked at him and said, "Are you serious?" His good-will finally showed itself and he told me to run and get the box. I ran and lifted the box up and scurried back to the bus and rode it to the place I needed to transfer again.
At the transfer-point, I had to walk across the street to catch the next bus. I took the table first, always looking back at my box I had left. I set the table down and crossed the street to get the box. I lifted the box and just then, I saw the bus coming. I hurried across the street, good thing traffic was slow, and was able to catch the bus. Hooray!

So there I was, on the way to ending my perfect day. Everything had gone great!

                   Ahhhhhh..sleep

Next day..
