1:29pm Today Carol and I are working. We swept my mom's house. We got the car authorized for a while. We're going to go get a five-gallon gas can at Walmart now. I don't know what gas stations we'll go to. Anyone will do. We'll go to the 1604 gas stations.
2:45pm We're here at the HEB on 1604 and Bandera spanging for gas. We need to make money for a bus ticket.
I came back to meet up with her, but Carol's already been run off. Carol: "Let's go to like a regular gas station." Okay, we came to the 1604 and Braun Road ones that's close to my mom's. Carol is having luck with the first girl she's talking to. We got run out of HEB real quick.
4:59pm We just got done working the gas station. We made like seventeen bucks and half a tank of gas for my mom. She's got like three quarters in it right now. I figure that's all my mom gets for today. Actually, I do want to fill it up for her.
5:05pm Carol: "I was looking through your mom's car for a pen and I found her checkbook. Let's see how many checks she wrote to the church. There's one for four fifty and another one for four hundred. She writes, "Tithe" on them. She tithes ten percent of her money, even that's in the Old Testament. Geez, we're over a thousand now. Twelve hundred dollars to this church. Her gasoline gets quite a bit of money from her too apparently." I think that's last year's checkbook. Carol: "Uh-uh, it says 7-27-06. Here's another three hundred dollars to the church. You're right, that was in 2005. So, umm, ten percent of that, hmm." I'm wasting tape, Carol. Carol: "I don't care. Turn it off. She gave seven hundred and twenty dollars just in the last two months, to the church. That's crazy."
12:30am My mom actually let us borrow the car tonight. I thought she wouldn't because she was bitching at us. We cleaned up the kitchen for her. Mopped and swept and everything. We came to HEB. We're going to barbeque with Vance tonight. When he gets off at one, from work. We're here at HEB buying barbeque stuff. That's all we're doing. I just wanted to make a note of that.
Next day..
