8:20am I woke up. I slept alright. I feel like I am cheating because I am not walking today. I'll take the whole weekend off. I'll walk tomorrow. I'm going to wake and bake on the back porch and get back to work. I am almost finished on my tapes. My older sister bought me a book called Ishmael yesterday. I'm going to read it. It's fiction so I don't know. Well, so was Robinson Crusoe but I love it.
12:05pm I forgot to tell you. My sister Laura called. She had a blowout over on 1604 and Bandera. I'm driving my mom's car right now looking for her. She needs me to bring her some checks that I got out of her purse. I don't know where she is.
12:14pm I finally found her. She's over by the highway. I had to walk through this big grassy median. I'm wearing shorts. I hope I don't get chiggers.
12:45pm I didn't tell you. I just came back home with Laura. She's going to take me back to where I left the car so I won't have to walk through the grass again. We came home real quick first. We're going to go back to get the car.
1:08pm I came with Laura to get the car. She's having an awful day. My sick older sister Diana is getting to her. We came to the Whataburger. Laura placed our order thinking she had the money. When we got to the window she discovered she didn't have any with her. She had left it at home somewhere. When we pulled up to the window she told the cashier, "We're going to have to cancel it. I thought I had the money, but I don't. Do you guys take checks?" The guy said hold on a minute and walked off to talk to the manager or something. He just came back and said we didn't have to worry about it! He said, "It's going to be on the house this time." Totally no charge. At the Whataburger. That was awesome!
1:15pm What was your name? I'm writing a book on generosity the whole world is going to read on the Internet and you guys are in it. Josh at the Whataburger is hooking us up for nothing. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
1:30pm I got home about ten minutes ago. It was so awesome how we got kicked down. Right in the middle of Babylon. There were cars everywhere. Laura had told him, "I think I left my money at home. I'm going to have to cancel the order." He said hold on and walked off. He came back and said, "We're going to do it this time. It's on the house." When he came out and gave us the food I logged his generosity and gave him my webpage. He said, "I'll look you up, man. I just got a laptop." He's going to be surprised when he sees WORLD PEACE THROUGH MARIJUANA, hahaha.
1:42pm My not-right-in-the-head older sister Diana just took off. She just came to San Antonio for a high school reunion. Right before she left the last thing I told her was, "Remember, Diana. If you're not part of the cure you are part of the disease." She gave me a new traveling book. Ishmael. I've been told to read this a lot.
12:22am I forgot to tell you. I was playing Tetrinet. I've been typing all day. I'm serious, all day. I am almost finished. I am so excited. I've got a big stack of fifteen cassettes here. Oh yeah, this girl Artemis on tetrinet.org. She suggested this book called The Natural Mind by Andrew Weil. It's an "investigation of drugs and higher consciousness. A revolutionary approach to the drug problem." I'm really excited about starting to read this Ishmael book. It's about a mission to save the world. I don't know when I'll start reading it. Probably when I take off traveling and I don't have a computer to type on. Man, I am going to have to proofread all this stuff I just typed up too. I have until the fourteenth for my mom to come back. About seven or eight days. It's already late. I should go to sleep, but I'm not going to walk tomorrow even though it's Sunday. It's a traditional day of rest. Yeah, that's the ticket. Oh wait, tomorrow is Monday. I should walk. I don't know what I'm going to do. I should clean the house again soon.
