I ambled over to the Holiday gas station and got a cigarette together. I'm cold.

4:34am  I came over to the Poverello and indeed they open at four and I ate some donuts. I can do my laundry here, but at 11:30am for fifty cents. They told me I could go to the Salvation Army at nine and they would do it free there. I'm cold, I'm tired. I don't know what I'm going to do. I wonder what time the drop-in center opens.

8:02am  John was nice enough to give me a cigarette outside the Salcido Center. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.

What happened, Jai? Jai: "What I did was I took my friend's machete, I'm holding it for him, I took it to the police station and asked them about if it was legally fitted to be concealed the way I was carrying it in my external frame pack. They told me it needed some kind of sheath because I could fall and hurt myself. He said, "You don't have to give it to us, but if you give it to us it will prevent you from getting a first class felony for concealed weapon." He said it's because it's such a large blade and a danger to have. He just put JAI on it and told me to come back and get it whenever I want."

Look up The Scriptures of Black Elk and Black Elk Speaks.

1:29pm  Some pretty girl just talked to me and I told her my story.

4:48pm  A little bit late. I went up to the street after I took a nap at the Salcido place. I was experimenting with my hook a brother up/smoke a brother out and my breast exams sign. Sure enough, dumpster came by and asked me if I was a cop. I turned around and showed him my peace tattoo. He asks me if I liked to smoke weed and I told him it was the key to my mission. He's smoking a brother out. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit.

4:52pm  Dumpster's song: "I'm just a man on a road I don't know and one day she will be there. So I says I can't understand a lot of it. She'll be waiting when you get there. So I fall to my to knee and I pray to all these false gods that don't have me. And I'll sit and I'll cry and I look at the sky and one day love will find me. Cuz if roses red and violets are blue then how is life complete without you? And I'll walk down these roads and weather my soul and one day she will be there. Cuz there's strength inside you, I've seen it, it's true and always I will fight beside you."

7:34pm  I just had an awesome captivated audience. I've been down at Reefer Beach for a while. I've gotten smoked out like crazy. All these kids at the beach. They walked by and went to the beach and I got smoked out. Hobo was there. This girl Teegan, she had kind of heard me telling my story earlier and she asked me to tell her a story. I told her my jail stories which I never tell first. I had Teegan listening to me like crazy. Eventually other people started listening and I rattled off all of my jail stories. This one pretty girl with dreadlocks, Courtney loved my stories too. I'm blowing people's minds hopefully. I'm all stoned.

8:15pm  I forgot to tell you. I walked all the way over to the Holiday gas station again. I was just standing outside smoking cigarettes. Some cool dude who works at Taco Sano next door walked by. He walked up and said, "I have mad respect for travelers." I offered him my website and he gave me some cigarettes. I told him, "I noticed you work at the restaurant. Think you guys can spare some gasoline for my stomach?" He told me sure, he would bring me something out. I told him to surprise me.

8:20pm  It was Jeff the dude from Taco Sano, he just came out here and gave me a taco. I really appreciate it. Everybody gets credit. Thanks a lot.

Next day..
