3:00pm After a long day of nobody coming at all to the house, second morning they stood me up for breakfast, I am finally making an entry.. I've eaten all of the peanut butter. I'm going to be hungry pretty soon. I've pretty much lived off of two jars of peanut butter the whole time I've been here. I got some good things from these guys though. I got a badass Columbia jacket. I'm supposed to get a backpack too. That's the only thing I was holding out for. I've decided screw it, I don't need a backpack. This one still has some life left in it. I'm taking off. I need to get back to San Antonio already. I need to go back.
I left the apartment. I said screw it, I'm going to get out of here, I don't need that backpack. I should've left in the morning. I stuck around and read my Einstein book. I reinforced my marijuana necklace. I did all that stuff. I doubt they were going to show up at all today. They promised me food at like ten in the morning. The second time they promised me food in the morning and never showed. I'm just going to leave. My backpack will last me back to San Antonio. I left the apartment and was wondering how to get to 27 South. I asked this random lady in the neighborhood which way to the highway. She told me it was really far. I offered her my website and she ended up giving me a ride to 27 South in the back of her pickup. Sweet, I got a ride.
3:58pm I just got dropped off at the highway. I was going to hang out at the gas station and ask for rides. Ah, I'll just walk South until I hit another gas station. I'm sure there's another one. Then it started drizzling and I had to go under the next bridge and pull out my poncho. I put on my rain pants too and I'm going to keep walking.
4:25pm I walked all the way to the next exit right close to the annex. I don't know what street I'm on but I see a Waffle House in the distance. That's my sign. I layered down because it stopped drizzling.
I took a smokebreak at 44th Avenue and George Street. I'm going to go to the Waffle House and hit them up.
4:30pm Manager is not here bullshit. Nobody wants world peace!
4:46pm Hmm, I spy a place called Abuelos Mexican Food. I'm going to eat, watch.
Hmm, this place looks really fancy. There's all these white people working here, but the guy told me that it shouldn't be a problem and he'd be right back.
4:55pm John at Abuelos is being nice enough to hook me up with some food. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit.
4:57pm These greedy white people at the Mexican Restaurant only gave me chips and salsa. Authentic, my ass. I guess that's better than nothing, but shit, I'm hungry. Hmm, I see Grand Burger. I'm going to go hit them up.
Jeff's Grand Burger. There's a pizza place next door I can go hit up too. It's all a number's game.
5:01pm Ricky at Jeff's Giant Burger is hooking me up with some fries. I appreciate it, bro. Everybody gets credit.
At least I got some yummy fries here, a little better than just chips. I'm going to go see if they make any mistakes at this pizza place.
The guy told me they didn't make mistakes. Shyeah, right.
I'm going to go to the onramp if there is one.
5:15pm I came to buy some donuts at The Donut Stop. Angela, they're about to close so she's going to hook me up! Everybody gets credit. Thanks a lot.
5:49pm I walked like two more exit and I scored some food, some French fries. Then I got a whole lot of free donuts! When I walked in I picked out two to pay for and Angela tells me, "I'm going to give you a lot more. I rather them be in your belly than in the trashcan." I walked a little more. Oh yeah, I stopped at a bus stop for like five minutes. I didn't think the bus was going to come, so I kept walking. Like two minutes later the bus came but he wouldn't stop for me because I wasn't at the stop anymore. The guy at the last gas station told me it was like eight miles to the next one, but there's one coming up right here at the next exit. It's another Toot 'n Totem Shell station. I'll ask permission to ask people for rides and see what they tell me.
6:05pm Jose Puentes me esta dando un ride a la proxima gasolinera.
Sweet, I asked this Mexican dude for a ride at the gas station and he gave me a ride to the next one, it's a Love's Truck Stop. Perfect.
8:26pm I'm still standing in front of the Love's truckstop here. I've been telling Pete my story and he's listening great.
8:57pm Oh yeah, my friend I made, the guy I told my story to, he was waiting for midnight to get some money on his card so he could get gas and leave. He just came up to me and asked me if I would rather sit in his truck, that it'd be a little warmer. Yeah, sure. He said once he got his money he would give me a ride to Lubbock. He's heading to El Paso himself. I'm going to see if he'll drop me off any further South than Lubbock. Lamesa, I'm thinking, then I'll hit 87 South and visit the town of Big Spring again. Then San Angelo, Fredericksburg and then almost home.
9:18pm About five minutes ago I walked back inside the Love's to get some coffee but none of the machines were working. I just found a ten dollar bill on the parking lot!

I was able to harvest some good quotes out Pete's Christian book.
1:19am I thought we were going to leave at twelve, but twelve came around and he didn't wake up. I noticed that the white truck next to us was leaving and we need a jumpstart. We have to wait until 7:30am for the auto parts store to open.
