Saturday October 13, 2007

8:45am  I woke up right before six this morning. I packed up and I crashed back out and woke up almost to nine. I'm talking to John Kerwin, who I told my story to last night. He said he felt a jolt when I told him the sprit's part. He's got a story of his own.

John: "Well, my name is John Elmer Kerwin. I'm twenty seven years old since March 18, 1980. I was born in the city we call Rochester. Cesspool of the world, in my opinion, but everyone else seems to think it's such a happy and wonderful place, but they're ignorant. I've been deemed insane by the powers of psychiatry and medicine, but their opinion really doesn't matter that much to me. I like to think that I have awakened to a higher consciousness. I'm a musician and my traveling experience is limited, but I feel there was a good reason why I met Antonio here. I wish him well in all that he does and I believe in what he's doing. That's all I have to say for now."

9:11am  I'm sitting here telling John Kerwin, I told him my First Attempt West story. This beautiful girl walked by with this beautiful dog.

I took his picture. His name is Rex. I gave her my website, so she can look it up.

10:41am  I just left the public library. I emailed my dad and I didn't do much else.

                     I emailed BJ!

Hell yeah, I can't stop. Have you looked at my site lately?
www.havethisbook.com It has evolved much. Dude, I was back at
headquarters(my mom's house) for three months typing and letting my
website evolve(and keeping her house clean). I left again September
18 and went up i35 all the way to Minnesota logging every detail of
it. I can't wait to type it all up. It's been such a roller coaster.
Guess where I'm headed now. The good 'ol Ignorant Coast. I'm
taking I90 all the way to the East Coast, then I'll go down and check
out Florida, then hit I10 all the way back to San Antonio. I'll have
another typing spree and then plan my next trip. I want to go
overseas. Maybe Hawaii. Maybe New Zealand(I can tell my story
there, they speak English), hell, maybe Europe(Amsterdam, of course),
who knows. I've always wanted to go see the pyramids in Egypt.
This East Coast trip is going to blow the lid off my story. I
like a challenge, hehe. Hope I don't get shot. Anyway, I've got me
a digital camera now and have been documenting everything hardcore.
So what's been up with your black ass? Get back to me, yo.
Sign my guestbook!

11:45am  John told me about some church that feeds at noon. He said the blue church on 4th Street. I only have fifteen minute to find it.

I found the church where they feed lunch at. It's not blue at all. I don't know if John will be here.

                     Christ United Methodist Church 1857-2007

Dude, I just had an awesome lunch at that church! I saw my friend John there. I hung out with him a lot this morning. Earlier we sat down on this bench by the jogging path. I told him all my stories. My whole package. He's a definite believer. I'm going to go back to the Dorothy Day House tonight. I'll probably leave tomorrow. I was thinking about leaving today. This is a way conservative town. Let's see how my storytelling goes these next few hours.

                     Some building.

12:58pm  I just had a great presentation with beautiful Molly. She didn't let me take her picture, but she's a pretty girl. She didn't have time for the whole Odyssey, but she listened to the important part. Umm, it's almost what I rather do. I'm going to stop telling the whole story, just the Odyssey. Haha, yeah right.

2:07pm  I was walking down Center Street, going back to that guy's house because I mysteriously have his pipe in my bag. I wanted to return it to him. The dude I met yesterday. He wasn't home this morning when I went over there. Anyway, I was walking down Center Street and these black guys called me from across the street. They came over and I hung with them for a bit. I told them I was a journalist. One guy invited me to the park to smoke a joint. Hell yeah! I tried to tell them my story there, but none of them would listen. All they were talking about was money. Right now I'm walking back from the park. They smoked two joints with me. I'm all stoned. I want to find someone to tell my story to. I'm thinking I might leave. I don't know if I'll stay the night. I'd have to go to the Dorothy Day House at four 'o clock to get my bag. I'll walk the ten miles to I90 and get out of town. Go to Wisconsin. I hear LaCross is a cool town.

2:44pm  I've been walking around this dead town finding nobody to tell my story to. I went to the park downtown where I smoked a cigarette the other day and I saw young kids! Cool! Kids! I went and hit them up for my story and they listened to it. Heather, Kelly and Zippo. I took their picture. They gave me a cigarette too.

3:30pm  I migrated back over to the Dorothy Day House. Nobody's out here. I'm going to go back to that guy's house and see if I can return that pipe.

I just had a good presentation with some guy walking down the street. He didn't have time for the whole story.

He still wasn't home, so I guess I got a new pipe.

4:40pm  I just got out of a badass hot shower here at the Dorothy Day House. This place is just awesome! This place was all I wanted. Welcome to Rochester, Victor. I had fun in this little town. I'm leaving tomorrow morning, though.

                   Dorothy Day

5:35pm  I walked up to the store to buy some water because the tap water here is bad. I'm at the Virgil gas station on 2nd Street SW and 11th Avenue, close to the Dorothy Day House. Well, it's a big long block. I'm telling Tyler and his girlfriend my story in the Virgil's. In between customers, of course.

Next day..
