11:24am We had an awesome Thanksgiving. We
had a great meal with our new family. A lot of stuff happened with me and Carol.
Right now, and for the past couple of days I've been going on these hikes to the
river bottom out here. All the homeless camps out here that nobody is at
anymore. I got some good shit. This morning I convinced other people to come
with me and pillage through junk. Scott and Heather and Carol.
At Walmart I got a new digital voice recorder. That's awesome. Now I don't have
to rewind or fast-forward anymore. I'm just waiting to get batteries for it. As
the mission evolves. Awesome.
12:07pm We had a great time salvaging
stuff. We brought it all home in the wheelbarrow. In all the stuff we found out
there we found a flaregun. I had tried firing it where we found it, but nothing
happened. So when I unpacked it here at the camp, in the tent I picked it up. I
pulled the trigger and it still didn't fire. I thought, "Hmm, is it not loaded,"
and looked down the barrel of the gun. It looked like it was empty. Well, I
accidentally pulled the trigger a little bit and it went off in my face! Dude, I
have had yet another close-call to my eye. My left eye this time. Man, the shell
of that flare hit in between my top eyelash and my eyebrow! There's a little
laceration.
Bob drove me to the emergency room and I sat there forever. I was sitting there
for a long time in the ER. I hadn't looked at my wound yet. I had it covered
holding pressure on it ever since River Haven. In the waiting room I asked
anyone if they had a mirror and this one lady leant me her compact. I looked at
it and it didn't look that bad at all. Therefore, I didn't feel like I was in
need of any emergency services. I was hoping they would at least give me a
little rubbing alcohol, but they didn't give me shit when I asked. I just left.
Screw that. I'm not going to sit there and wait for nothing.
