Boulder to Denver to Thornton, CO

3:26pm Today I chilled at the house with Travis. We still haven't heard from Carol. I think she's going back to prison. So here I am at the bus stop to Denver on Broadway, in front of the Department of Commerce laboratories. I am leaving today. Going to Denver and heading West on I70 to 15 to 80 to the bay. It's really weird leaving. Five months Boulder sucked me in for. This big laziness funk took me over. I thought Carol's house was where my site would go up. But Carol was always "too busy."
If it's to be, it's up to me.
3:42pm I am on the bus to Denver. I paid four bucks for fare. I have six left. Man, I can't believe I was at Carol's for so long. I really thought my storytelling days were over. I can't believe I thought I was ready for a relationship. All I am left with thinking is that it all happened for a reason. Right before I left I got to tell Skylar's brother my story. I was a bit rusty, but the dude thought it was really interesting. I had totally forgotten the rush I got when I tell it. All I need now is another tape recorder and I'll be back to work. Umm, no I don't. I can keep writing stuff down like this until I get another one. I wonder what will happen next. I'm going to miss Carol and SueƱo, her cat. Oh, I forgot to mention, I got this badass frame backpack that Carol scored at the thrift store for a dollar. In our last fight she told me I couldn't have it. She's in jail and going to prison. It's mine now. I'm going to try and tell the bus driver my story.
3:52pm Forget it. Some kid just got on and sat behind the bus driver. At the Superior Park and Ride.
5:19pm I forgot to log when I arrived. The bus driver told me I had to get on the 44 to go West on 70. I left the bus station. Right in front this kid walked by with a skateboard. I asked him if he had a pipe. He did and we went to smoke a bowl. I told him my platform. Then this nice bus driver directed me to the wrong stop. After he realized he ran a couple blocks and flagged me down. So here I am in downtown Denver writing in my pocket calendar.

6:08pm I met this cool 23 year old kid named Josh. I ended up getting on the #6 bus with him. We're going to smoke. I told him my story and he's all about it.
8:15pm Wow, what a magical occurrence. I followed Josh to his place. I waited outside then we walked to this park and smoked some really good weed he had. Josh has been messing around with computers since he was nine. He said he was going to host my site for me! I gave him a CD of my stuff. And, he kicked me down a lot of weed! I am still a bit shaken by my Boulder experience, but tonight seems as confirmation that I am still on the right path, and that there is still lots more work to be done. Josh seemed like he was a true believer. That would be such a great Christmas present to me. I feel so much better. I really hope there's another bus coming. Maybe I'll hitchhike.
9:35pm Shit, I was standing at the bus stop when I realized my green scarf was missing. I freaked. I walked all the way back to the park where we smoked and it wasn't there. Then I walked around trying to find this big green box I had set my stuff on while I was waiting for Josh to come out of his house. I never found it. I walked a shitload.
Oh yeah, technically I am in Thornton, not Denver.
10:28pm I had weed and a little money, but no pipe. I went to the Circle K by the bus stop on Colorado Avenue. They didn't sell papers. I went to the Conoco and they didn't sell papers either. I walked out and got another idea. I realized I could buy a pouch of rolling tobacco and use the papers. Ugh, they didn't sell rolling tobacco either. I told the kid working, "Damnit, how am I supposed to have a merry Christmas now? He said he had a pipe and that he got off at ten. I'm going to smoke him out. Maybe he'll know where I can crash.
11:06pm Ian was his name. Linda finally showed up to relieve him. We came behind the Church of Christ I'm going to crash behind and smoked.
