When I got back to the mountain I went to the park where the headwaters of the Sacramento is and I noticed they blocked the road to the spring so cars couldn't just drive right up to it and load up their bottles with fresh water. I saw this old lady trying to lug a five gallon bottle up the hill and the first thought in my mind was, "handtruck." I borrowed a dolly from my awesome landlord and became Victor the Water Bearer. Random headwaters and park pictures. THIS IS THE DAWNING OF THE AGE OF AQUARIUS!
I was born February 2nd. Every day I would be at the spring offering people help with my dolly. I would tell them, "Hi, I'd love to help you if you'd let me. I'm a volunteer. The water is important." I'd also tell them, "I'm on SSI for some head injuries I had. I'm already on a payroll. I have to do something. That's how things work." Once in a while people would offer tips, but I made sure they knew I wasn't expecting any money, or anything else. I would even have extra bottles for sale and would sell them at cost. I did that seasonally for three years or so.
And that's where I manifested my beautiful genius Berkeley-educated Mejicanita wife who lived in the motor coach with me for a year. I'll fill in the following gap when we leave the shithole town we live in. It's been such a magical ride. Soon, I hope. I'm going to take her back home to meet my mom and get us both on a walking-regimen. I want to become a long distance walker again. This time with a dedicated partner. There's power in numbers! I can't wait to show her my old stomping grounds. I left the mountain with her. Viva Mexico!
I rode my badass top-speed 75mph, highway legal 250cc Honda Helix all the way to San Antonio! I pulled up in my mom's driveway and surprised her! Almost died(again) on the way back though..
