Franklin,
Tomorrow I should have close to a thousand dollars in my account. I can get a round trip ticket for about $500, which should leave me probably a little less than five hundred more. It seems there will be other costs, like you mentioned I would be paying for Ariel's services, as well as I'll need money to pay for a Panamanian passport. I also expect various charges at the airport, both here and in Panama(such as a tourist card, luggage and what not). If I am unable to borrow any more money, I would have to wait until next month to receive an additional $449, plus I'll have expenses if I were to stay longer. I don't know if I'd have any luck borrowing any more money from my my brother and sister. Ada has very limited resources so seeing her as a source isn't likely. Also, should I keep the money in my account or empty it and carry cash/traveler's checks? Oh, and I just called my bank I have my ATM card with and was told that my card would work, as long as I let them know the dates I would be in Panama because if I didn't notify them any transactions outside the country would get flagged as fraud and they would disactivate my card.
Best wishes,
- Victor Antonio
