6:48am  I forgot to tell you, this morning I scored a courtesy ride from the Staples by the shelter. I told him I would walk it if I had to, it's a nice morning. Actually, it's drizzling. I have my rain poncho though.

7:00am  I got to the transfer center not too long ago. I totally could have walked it if I had to. It's not drizzling that hard anymore. I have to wait until after eight for the day center to open. I'm going to go get on the computer some more and try to finalize my update. I loaded up on cereal at the shelter this morning. I'm going to walk around the area by the transfer center and the library. I'll see if I can find somebody to tell my story to. Man, this weed has lasted me a long time, the weed I scored the first night I was here. Accommodations are great too. There's plenty of food.

7:22am  I walked Higuera and paused in front of Sandy's Liquor Store, the same one I had been to when I first got here. I stopped and smoked some weed and a cigarette. I'm going to walk all the way to Prado,

I've decided. My boots are doing alright after their ShoeGoo treatment. I put them on a day early, like I usually do. My feet are a little moist since it is all wet and drizzling. I'm going to walk all the way to Prado and do some more typing and make some more HTML files. It's just awesome. I wonder how long I will have that resource at my disposal. I have shitloads of pictures to add too.

7:30am  I was walking down Higuera and I paused again and smoked a little more. I saw this guy walking towards me wearing a blue Lowe-Alpine jacket. Since I was all stoned I hit him up for my story as he was walking and he stopped and sure, that he'd listen. The first time where I ask if the person is still willing to listen I added, "I do have a website.." He accepted it and I asked him to do me the two favors. Then I asked him if I could tell him something else, not nearly as long, kind of funny. I only got the first paragraph of the Note From the Rich out to him before he said he was going to keep going. Just check out the website, I told him.

8:14am  I walked all the way to the day center where all the other homebums are waiting for it to open. I walked over to see if I could trade a hit of weed for a cigarette and this dude across the street tells me to stop. His name is Rene. When he crosses the street I ask him if he's got another cigarette. He hands me the one he was holding in his hand and tells me, "It's weed." I handed him my hit I had ready to trade in my one-hitter and thanked him for giving me the joint. Rene told me, "I'm handing out joints today." Sweet, he gave me a cigarette too.

8:18am  I walked all the way to Prado and it's drizzling still. I really love my new pack. I want to go volunteer to do some chores today first off. Just so I'll have some balance for all the work they're letting me do on their computer.

4:30pm   I am waiting for the bus to come and Cathy was nice enough to give me a cigarette.  I appreciate it, Cathy.

4:38pm  After another long, productive day at the office I am headed back to the shelter.  I did some chores.  I took out the trash.  I got to do laundry this morning.  I washed my uniform shirts.  I even got a couple bus tokens, so I don't have to pay fare.  I had walked all the way there from the shelter this morning.  I have an extra token for the morning too.  The day center is actually open seven days a week.  I got so much work done today.  I've already made all my HTML files, up until today.  I am naming pictures now.  I only have the pictures I had taken until I had left David in Santa Ana.  I have to figure out a way to get my other ones off.  Oh yeah, I just need to find somebody with a laptop.

5:02pm  Just got to the transfer center.  Palm and Osos.  I'm going to go to the library and check my email.

5:25pm  I had a great presentation with these three Mexican girls at the bus stop.  Their #5 bus came so they had to go.  I'm having a good time waiting for the bus to come to go to the shelter.

Next day..
