10:48am  I didn't tell you. Carol is taking her sweet time on the phone talking to the welfare people. They want to close her case. I asked her last night, "Hey, do you want to go on a hike with me in the morning?" She said yes, that she would love to go. I waited until I ate breakfast. I had a lot of food. Carol made it. I got to get second and third helpings. Carol ended up telling me she couldn't hike with me this morning, that she had to go try and make money. She told me she'd come with me and now she's backing out. You can go ahead and slave away for the money if you want to, Carol. I'm going to go enjoy nature. I love this hike. La Joya Canyon is where I am on the main trail. I'm going to go a lot further than I went yesterday. I'll walk all the way to Sycamore Canyon, maybe. I'll walk Highway 1 back to the campsite at Thornhill Broome Beach.

12:52pm  Wow, I've been out here for a couple of hours now. I went on a lonely hike. I would rather be hiking by myself than sitting in car waiting for Carol to slave away for some money. Out here I found another lone hiker, Sara(Be sure to read: "crazy incounter in the mountain trail!!" on Sara's MySpace).  What a tremendously beautiful girl. She just moved to Ventura and works at some adult video store. She goes to Brooks Photography School. I just ran into her on the trail and I just finished telling her every single story I've got. I even told her my tasteless jokes. She listened very attentively the whole time. Thank you, Sarah. I appreciate it. I love to hear myself talk, hehe. I'm just kidding. Anyway, I'm going to hike back and hopefully Carol is not there, hehe. If she is there, she'll have weed. Brighter side to everything.

Sara invited me to eat!  We came to this Japanese restaurant in Oxnard.

7:11pm  Gordon was nice enough to give me a cigarette right here next to the campground. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.

Next day..
