7:30am I woke up at the camp back here behind the plasma place, the ZLB. I stumbled back here last night and fell asleep on this white cushioned seat out here. This morning I met John, who has his camp back here. What's your email? blazing_bikes@yahoo.com
7:44am It's so cool. I'm glad I wandered back here last night. I had been there before. The homeless camp behind the plasma place. Last night I came back here hoping there would be a place to lay down. Before they had all these pallets back here with a carpet over them that I could sleep on. Last night I saw someone had strung a big black tarp over it and made a little room. I heard someone snoring inside. I saw a cushiony chair right outside so I sat down on that and dozed off. This morning after I met John I got to tell him my story.
I should probably take some pictures.
Okay, I took three pictures. First one I took was of the chair I found that I slept on. I took a view of the little room John built, then I took a picture of inside. He's got a couch in there. I love the overgrowth back here in this little hidden San Antonio greenbelt right smack-dab in the middle of the Babylon. The trails are like tunnels because all the weed are so high.
9:26am Joe hooked me up with a cigarette in front of the ZLB. I appreciate it, Joe.
12:14pm I just left the plasma place. I got thirty bucks. I really miss my wallet. I miss my wallet bad. It was cool, John's letting me stash my backpack at the camp. I'm going to walk back to the Bay-Lu apartments and buy some more weed.
12:31pm Tony gave me a cigarette. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
1:32pm The three of us are smoking here at Bay-Lu apartments. In the back room of the apartment James showed me. I just took a picture of Fernando. He just rolled a badass four paper joint. It's a Cheech and Chong joint. This kid's got rolling skills. He's ingenious. He's fifteen! I asked him who taught him how to roll that good. He said he learned it on his own.
1:59pm I came back to the camp. John wasn't here. I was going to smoke him out. It's already like two 'o clock. I had told him I would come right back with weed, but I guess it's been a while.
2:09pm I walked all the way to Fredericksburg and Williamsburg. I'm going to see if the bus will let me on for twenty cents.
I am so happy to have my time-stamps back.
5703 let me on. Cool, cool. Called that. I got on and asked him, "Can I get on with twenty cents?" He agreed but said, "Just don't do it everyday. I got a camera on me." That's what they all say.
I don't care. Document me.
2:50pm I was talking with Wade Wilbur and he gave me a cigarette. He wouldn't give me a transfer though. Thanks anyway. I appreciate it, yo.
3:43pm Kristof hooked me up with a dollar at University Hospital. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
4:42pm I'm on the bus with my new friend Alicia. I didn't recognize him at first, but some guy from Santa Fe saw me and asked me, "What's up, remember me?" I told him, "Aww man, I talk to different people everyday." He went, "You don't remember? At Santa Fe apartments, the guy you talked to?" I told him, "Man, that doesn't narrow it down at all." I still don't remember who he is, but his name is Mario. Oh yeah, I'm downtown again. Alicia and I came downtown together from the hospital. I told her my story. You said you were thirty seven, right? Oh, thirty, I'm sorry.
4:53pm Jazz hooked me up with a cigarette at Travis Park. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
5:06pm I'm still hanging out with Alicia. Laurie walked up and asked me if I minded if she smoked next to me. I told her, "Only if you don't give me a cigarette, hehe." She hooked me up. I appreciate it, Laurie. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
5:22pm Rachel hooked me up with some change for a transfer. I appreciate it, Rachel. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
6:25pm This guy who wouldn't give me his name gave me a cigarette. I appreciate it, brother.
6:30pm Oh yeah, I have to make an update and elaborate. This Alicia girl. This beautiful Italian girl. She's thirty years old. She's got a kid though. Her kid's name is Moses. We were all flirting. She had come right up to me at the hospital and told me she had time to kill. That she had an appointment at the hospital at 6:15, I think. We came over and sat on the benches over by the bike lockers at the hospital and I put on my show for her. Then she said, "Let's go ride on the bus." We went on a little joyride downtown, got off at Travis Park, hung out there for a bit and then rode the bus back to the hospital. I took a picture of her. She's pretty cute. She was all talking about finding the right guy and wanting a relationship with someone. Umm, I don't know about that. Oh yeah, she said she'd go hiking with me! I am so happy. We set the date already. She told me to meet her at Travis Park Saturday at eight in the morning. I wonder how that will turn out.
6:53pm Mr. Smith hooked me up with a transfer.
I'm going to go ride the bus over to that La Carreta place on Eckhert. I'm going to go see if I can buy a poncho. I've seen them sold at truckstops cheap. For like seven dollars. They cost fifteen at this place. I wonder if I can talk them down any.
6:59pm I just bought me my poncho for fifteen dollars. That sucks I spent so much money on it.
7:04pm The 610 came real quick. On my way back to the Medical Center.
7:23pm Doug hooked me up with a cigarette at the hospital. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
7:25pm I just had a picture taken of me at the hospital.
7:41pm I just got off over by Oaklawn Apartments. I made a prayer to Love to please let me get my wallet back. I really hope somebody has it. I have so much stuff in there. Some really important stuff. Mission-critical stuff.
7:50pm I walked up to the Chevron and Jim's hooking me up with a cigarette. I appreciate it, James. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
8:15pm I have to make an update. I walked Fredericksburg right inside Loop 410 all the way to Long John Silvers. I was hungry so I bought a combo for like $2.15. I got eighty five cents back in change. I walked to Santa Fe Apartments and sat down on a bench and ate. Then I'm going to go smoke somebody out. I have some weed.
9:44pm Ahh, I didn't find anybody to smoke with, so I came back to camp. John was here and I smoked him out. We hung out in this little room that he made. It's really cool in there. With the couch and stuff. It's like a civilized room. Oh yeah, I'm really glad I grabbed my little travel candle from my mom's house and put it in my backpack. We sat there and smoked weed. I got tired so I decided to step outside to make my bed. John even has an extra sleeping bag I can use. I made my bed right in front of the small fire pit. I got my new falsa blanket and I'm happy. I had a productive day. It's not cold at all tonight.
