San Antonio, TX

Thursday May 15, 2003

Okay, the time is about three ten in the afternoon and I am finally back in San Antonio. I just got off the Greyhound and am in the bathroom taking a shit. I got sixty five cents in my pocket. Let's see if that will do for bus fare.

4:29pm  Central time. I am finally back in San Antonio and have only sixty five cents. Mr. Trinidad driving the 91 was cool enough to let me on. While we were still downtown I asked him, "Hey, could you hook me up with a transfer, too?" He says sure and rips one off for me. Glad to be back in San Antonio. This is my town. I should stop at the library and check my email.

5:37pm  I'm on the 620 home. I ran into this guy Jason who asked me, "Where is it at?" Jason is some dude that I asked to smoke out with and he had told me no before, that he had a drug test soon. I loaded him up a hit and he took it at the transfer center at the hospital. We both hopped on the 620 when it came and he got off over by Danny Kaye. He gave me a quarter for a transfer.
When the 620 pulled up that bitch who never lets me ride for free was driving. I gave her the transfer and the quarter and she gave me another transfer. Hopefully she'll make it to the grocery store on time. She's got like ten minutes to get there. I can catch the 622 over by the elementary school then walk the ten minutes home and surprise my mom. Man, I don't have shit anymore, hehe.

She was late to the grocery store and all the other buses had already left. I sat down and scanned around for smokers. I wanted a cigarette. I called my mom from the courtesy phone in the grocery store and she told me she wasn't coming home until ten that night. I didn't have a key to her house so even if I did go home I can't go inside and eat. I'm damn hungry. Anyway, I'll wait until the buses come again at six fifty, in about forty minutes and ride the 622. If I had something to eat I would walk all the way home. It would only take me like half an hour.

I just scored a cigarette and I'm going to smoke.

Oh yeah, and earlier I went to the Donation Station and asked the guy in there if he smoked. He told me, "No, and if I did I wouldn't give you one. Cigarettes are expensive." What a greedy ass.

Any other day all this shit would bring me down, but I'm too tired to be down, hehe.

6:45pm  The 622 pulled up and I got on. The driver had gone in the store so I had to open the doors to the bus. I went in and sat inside. All this time I thought I had a transfer that I had bought with the quarter that guy gave me. Damnit, I couldn't find it. Well, this girl on the bus, what was your name? Carrie. I asked her, "Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a transfer you're not going to use?" She told me, "I don't use transfers," and showed me her bus pass. She said, "But, I do have some change if you need bus fare." Shweet. Carrie hooked a brother up. I thought I was going to have to ask for a courtesy ride. How awesome. To the victor go the spoils. I really appreciate it, Carrie. Thank you.

7:32pm  Whoa, I have a big update to make. See, from the HEB I called my mom and she told me she wasn't going to be home until ten, but that the house was a big mess(surprise, surprise) and that she had cleared out the two remaining rooms of the house and had tile floor put in to match the living/dining room. So all this shit is all piled up here in the living room. She told me my little brother would be home around eight, so I thought I was going to have to wait. I had to wait an hour for the bus at the grocery store. When it finally came I caught it to the elementary school and walked home. I don't have a key, so I didn't know how I was going to get in the house. I was hoping that the back sliding door would be unlocked or something, or that I had left one of the kitchen windows unlocked before I had left. I went back there and nope, everything was locked. Bummer. Aww shit. I have to sit out here and wait hours and hours until night time.
Then I remembered to check and see if any side windows are unlocked. I had never unlocked them before, but hey, it was worth a shot. The first window was locked. I went to my little brother's window and eureka! It was unlocked! Hehe, where have you been sneaking off to, little brother? Badass. I'm already in the house. I climbed in the window and the house was boiling hot. I can't believe my mom still hadn't gotten the AC fixed. I assumed the air conditioner was just turned off. I walked to the thermostat to turn the fan on and saw the air conditioner was on, blowing hot air. My mom is so damn wasteful. Even after ten days of me being gone the air conditioner was still broken.
The computer isn't here. I don't know what's taking her so long getting it "fixed"(it's not even broken). God-damn. I did not need to come back to this.

Next day..
