9:50am Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. I got a ride from my sister to the Walmart. I forgot my cigarette one-hitter and lighter. It's a good thing I still have that sneak-a-toke. But I don't have a lighter, so I'm going to go buy a lighter at Walmart.
10:05am I got on the 610 going to Medical Center. Today's Memorial Day, by the way.
10:26am I'm at University Hospital already.
10:33am Mr. Flores told me no.
10:36am Jumped on the 534 with a decoy transfer.
10:45am I just got off the 534 at Gardendale and Wurzbach. The driver's number was 264, real low. I asked him, "How long have you been driving the bus? That's the lowest operator number I've ever seen. Like thirty years or something?" He told me thirty four years. Dayum.
10:54am I'm walking out of Dove Tree, or Sundance. I couldn't find anybody to talk to. I'm going to cross the street and look around for people in Auburn Creek. Then I'll cut through that trail in the ditch to Woodtrails.
11:05am I'm in Woodtrails Apartments now. I'm over by the picnic bench where I met that girl Sandy the other day. By the pool(5-24-04, 2:42pm). The same pool I went swimming in the night I crashed on Chasity's balcony and ended up in jail the next morning.
11:15am This nice girl in apartment 1020 hooked me up with some water. I'm going to walk off. I'm hungry.
11:34am I'm over here behind the dumpster where you can get to the ditch to cross back over to Auburn Creek. I tagged "Victor the Liberator" with a peace sign real big right here. I took a picture of it. Everybody's going to see it crossing the ditch. Oh yeah, and this fourteen year old girl came up to me and bummed a couple cigarettes off me. Breakin' the law, breakin' the law. Anyway, she listened to some of my story, but she had to go.
11:45am Going to try to score breakfast at the Taqueria Jalisco.
11:49am Josefina me esta dando gasolina para mi estomago en la Taqueria Jalisco. Muchas gracias. Te lo agradezco.
12:07pm I scored three bean and cheese tacos at that place. I tried telling her my stuff. I translated it into Spanish. In the end she handed me two bucks. She said, "I know you're not asking for money, but you can get yourself something later."
12:32pm The guy driving the 91 failed. He didn't give me a ride. I don't know. I'm going to walk to the 92 stop.
12:39pm I walked over to Louis Pasteur to catch the 92. I saw one headed downtown so I jumped across the street. The driver is this black dude with splotches on his hands. Little white spots. He had told me no earlier at the hospital. He said no again. So I'm going to wait for the 92 that just went down to Medical Center to turn around and ask him.
Actually, screw it. I'll just pay a dollar.
The 92 is coming. I have my dollar ready. It's too hot to be asking for courtesy rides.
1:32pm I'm downtown already.
2:04pm I just took a picture of Beethoven holding my sign that she made. It says, "On my way to save the world."
We're at Broadway and Houston at 420 East Houston.
Oh yeah, I went to the park and met that girl Beethoven, who wants to have sex with me. She made up a sign for me.
3:07pm I walked up downtown somewhere. This guy came up to me and I asked him if he knew where I could get any weed. He told me to go to Sam's Shelter. I told him I've never been there before. It ends up being the place where all the homeless people hang out on the sidewalk and under the overpass. Over by the jail. I scored a five dollar bowl and filled up my sneak-a-toke. I'm walking down Commerce right now.
3:17pm I walked to the corner store here. I am now entering Cesar Chavez Memorial Way.
3:25pm I went in this food mart and bought me a lighter and a pack of cigarettes. I'm going to go see if this girl still lives at this place. I needed supplies.
3:42pm I'm on the 6300 block of West Commerce.
3:47pm I got to Las Villas Apartments. I'm going to go knock on #4's door.
3:53pm That girl doesn't live there anymore. That's no surprise. At least I came out here and got seen. This is a cool side of town. I never come here.
It's really hot.
3:56pm I'm in this neighborhood getting seen.
4:26pm I've been sitting here at the bus stop at Commerce and NW 39th. By the Chevron here.
4:32pm The 75 pulled up and my friend Eric, who gave me a ride the other day in his car(5-21-04, 5:26pm), he's hooking me up with a courtesy ride. I appreciate it, brother.
Eric asked me, "Hey, how's the project coming?" I said, "Every day is a new chapter." Everybody knows me.
5:00pm The 92 just pulled up and I had a transfer so I hopped on. This guy goes, "Hey man, remember me? I met you in West Texas. I gave you a ride to San Angelo(5-6-03, 11:50am)." Man, it's a small world. Thanks for making contact. I am still working on it. I have been doing nothing but ever since.
I asked this girl on the back of the bus if she would listen to me and she told me no.
7:14pm Man, I had a great presentation in the shade right here next to the buses. I saw these two black dudes sitting down and I said, "Any of you guys want a cigarette?" They told me they had some. I asked them if they wanted to smoke some weed. They told me no thanks, but thanks for offering. I told them my story. This one dude even missed his bus for my story. He told me he'd catch the next one.
8:10pm I just sped-walked all the way to my mom's house from the Walmart. I was giving all the cars the peace sign.
