Medford to Ashland, OR

1:25pm I should make an update. Peg and I walked the walking path all the way to the highway by some restaurants. Peg saw a Sherry's restaurant and she went in there. I went to the Carl's Jr nearby and bought two ranch bacon burgers and a spicy chicken. I came back to Sherry's and I'm going to wait for her here. Everybody is staring at my shirt in the Carl's Jr. I filled my bag with ice too.
1:58pm About ten minutes ago Peg and I walked to the onramp. We are going to try and hitch out of here. Do unto others.
5:18pm I need to make an update. We gave up trying to hitchhike. We were there for like two or so hours. I put my rain poncho down under a shade tree and she lied down while I thumbed it. She got exasperated and called a taxi cab. We came across the street to the hotel here to wait for it. She spent twenty bucks on the cab and he dropped us off in. The fare was $24, but he only asked for a twenty because I had given him a hit of weed. When we got in and he saw my shirt he smiled and said that he would always up for a trade for fare. That it was all the same green. I didn't have enough to give him a nugget or anything, but I gave him a hit anyway. He dropped us off on the nature trail seven miles away from Ashland.
5:35pm We got off the trail and we're walking the street instead. We're going to walk the six miles to Ashland.
6:42pm Oh yeah, we stopped to rest in the shade after half an hour of walking. This little girl Jordan talked to us. I forget to take her picture.
7:50pm I should make an update. Peg and I walked all the way to the stoplight right before this big hill. I told Peg we should get back on the jogging path so we wouldn't have to hike up the big hill. She wanted to go up it, the more direct way. I saw a store to the left and I walked to it to get more ice and water. I bought a pouch of Buglers and stole a donut. I told Peg that if she got impatient that she could keep walking and I would catch up with her. After I walked back and smoked a cigarette Peg was nowhere to be found. Maybe she got a ride. I just walked up this bigass hill. She couldn't have walked it already and me not see her. I'm walking past the Welcome to Ashland sign. I guess I'm going to walk into town and see if I can borrow somebody's cellphone.
8:10pm Oh shit, I'm over by the Minute Market. I know where I am. I'm almost downtown.
8:19pm I just got to the plaza. I'm going to go sit down in the grass and take some drags off of my special cigarette. I need to borrow somebody's cellphone. I'll ask somebody in Lithia Park. I'm beat. I high-tailed it up that hill nonstop.
8:25pm I came to Lithia Park and Garret, who recognized me from last time and asked me how my book was doing, he let me borrow his cellphone and I'm going to go find Peg now. She's almost here. Turns out she had stopped at the Mexican restaurant close to the light to get something to eat. She said she saw me walking by and called to me but I didn't hear her.
10:03pm It's about time I made an update. I walked all the way to the park and borrowed someone's cellphone to call Peg. Peg gave up. She's walked so much today. I am so proud of here, but she's done. After the sun came down I told Peg I wanted to walk into the woods and find my flat spot and camp. She followed me like halfway in. I told her to keep walking strait on a trail and I was going to go explore, to meet me further on. We got seperated then. After a bit I finally found the spot and put my bags down, but when I went looking for Peg I couldn't find her. I yelled for her with no reply. I was even blowing my whistle. I figured she had given up and walked back downtown. I myself hiked all the way back downtown and borrowed somebody's cellphone and called Peg. I told her I knew exactly where camp was now, but she refused to go back in the woods again. She said she would stay up all night or sleep on a park bench or something. I hope I can find my stuff again. I'm going back to it right now and crash out.
10:22pm At long-last I finally found my camp. I'm really glad the batteries in my flashlight didn't run out. I'm going to make my bed. I am exhausted.
11:11pm Crashing out. I had a nice, relaxing time. I smoked the last of my weed. Ah, I've got a little bit left.
