10:09am Man, I haven't been logging that much, even after I found my recorder. I went swimming yesterday. I just jumped in, got annoyed at the crowd and got out real quick. I thought it would be hotter and I didn't like the crowd. I just walked back. I guess I should call home to San Antonio. I've been gone for a while now. I am going to leave pretty soon, though. Today is the day Gretchen is supposed to be back. I'm going to see Gretchen and follow through on the follow-up. Then I'll get out of here. Aiming for the Rainbow Gathering still. I only have like five days to get there. Hopefully, I'll get there.
11:07am I am leaving for the school. I had a big long week off. I haven't explored Socorro at all. I've been stuck in that house. I have work to do. I'm walking to the school right now. I have so much work to do. I got real lazy here.
11:15am Walked up to the tennis court. No balls anywhere. That sucks.
11:20am I'm walking through the campus here and this lady stopped and commented on my stick. She said, "I like your stick. Did you make it yourself?" I told her I had bought it off some guy in San Antonio. She asked me what nationality I was and I told her I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to San Antonio when I was three. I forgot what her name was, but I shook her hand. I told her that I was on a mission, but didn't elaborate. She told me, "Good luck on your quest." I'm going to see if Gretchen is here.
5:12pm I am leaving the library. Man, I typed up a hell of a lot. Like four or five days. I am up to the part where I get to Midland. Anyway, I'm going back to the house. Oh yeah, I saw Gretchen. She showed up around four forty five. She told me she recognized my hat and walked over. I got up and gave her a big hug. I told her how I had found a cool place to crash and had been there for already a week. I told her I had been waiting to see her before I skipped town. She told me she was meeting someone when she got off at six, but that she could hang out tomorrow night. I'm going to walk back to the house.
5:38pm I came back from typing up like four or five hours at school. I just ate me a peanut butter sandwich and I wanted an after-meal smoke real bad. I started playing around with butts, about to make me a cigarette from sniped tobacco. Just then, Caleb offers me a smoke. I appreciate it, brother. The universe provides. Thanks a lot, man.
7:40pm Caleb gave me another cigarette. I appreciate it, brother.
8:32pm I have taken it upon myself to clean the kitchen again. It got all messy. I'm all stoned. They smoked me out on the front porch. This place is so rad. I wish I had been recording every moment that's happened, but I got lazy here.
