Bellingham to Mount Vernon to Oak Harbor, WA
Friday August 21, 2009
8:20am I woke up early. I only got six hours of sleep. I am reading a book Janie had in her car called The Divine Matrix by Greg Braden. On page three there is a good quote that says, " Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature and that is because, in the last analysis, we ourelves are...part of the mystery that we are trying to solve." Max Planck
"When we understand us, our consciousness, we also understand the universe and the seperation dissapears."
I got bored at the house. Janie was playing her stupid game like my mom plays. It's a different game though. Shit, I never got to tell Hannah my story. I would've loved to. I love Hannah. Hannah is great. She's a beautiful nineteen year old. I told her to check out my website before I left. All I had is an apple for breakfast. Janie is all stressing out and bitching about all this money stuff. I just had to get out of there. I left. I didn't ask for breakfast or anything. I asked for an apple, that's it. I'm going to walk to the bus stop.
9:12am I walked to the bus stop.
10:19am The bus came going downtown. Came right on time.
10:33am I am back at the transfer center. I don't know what I am going to do about breakfast. I'm going to go get some ice in my bag.
10:36am Hunter at Avalon Music let me have a pack of rolling papers for only a dollar. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit.
11:58am I had an aweosme presentation with Jeanie in the park. Whole Odyssey and everything. She gave me a cigarette in the end.
12:43pm Mark Harmon: "It was when I became twenty five that I gave up hate, pregidous. But it took me another twenty years to learn to love everyone. So remember this. It's not hard to be good. It's not hard to be bad. The hardest thing is to love everyone."
1:17pm The greedy ass manager at Taco Del Mar won't let me get ice. They have let me here since the first day I got into town. I told the greedy ass that and he told me, "Oh, well I am the manager. Can't you see the sign?" All the sign he was talking about said was there would be a charge for a cup if you got just water. I told him I had my own cup and was just getting ice.
2:08pm I went back to the alternative library to say bye to everyone and I've decided I am going to go visit the islands before I head East. Somebody told me about Lopez Island not too long ago(6-12-09) and I had been meaning to go there.
5:15pm The nice driver is giving me a courtesy ride on the 80x. I'm skipping town. Ask and thou shall receive.
6:05pm I am in Mount Vernon. This is the transfer center I met Janie at. I thought it was Everett but it's Mount Vernon. I'm going to catch the 411W to Anacortes to the ferry terminal. I think somebody told me the ferry was free. Here's hoping.
On the bus I told these these two girls my story and they were headed to Oak Harbor. I can go to Anacortes tomorrow. I decided to stay on the bus with them. I just got off the bus and went to the park across the street called The Flintstones Park.
Water shots
7:06pm At the park Oak Harbor Christian Church is giving out food to the homeless. Everybody gets credit. Thanks a lot.
7:51pm I wonder if it's too late to catch the bus to Anacortes. This place is lame. I shouldn't have gotten off the bus.
8:27pm I walked to the Walmart just to check if they had my compass, but they didn't. I'm going to walk around and look for a place to crash.
10:49pm About fifteen minutes ago I found my camp right behind this building. I'll take pictures in the morning. I'm going to go to bed and catch the first bus at five thirty and try and get to Lopez Island. I shouldn't have gotten off here. I only told my story once.
2:05am I just woke up. The sprinklers came on. I had to move my shit. I didn't get that wet.
2:52am I am up and at 'em. I'm going to try and relocate. I only got four hours of sleep before the sprinklers came on. I might as well walk to the bus terminal and doze off on a bench or something until the bus comes at five thirty.
