Carol: "No more rain. Woke up freezing. Vic took off at six. I slept until eight thirty. We walked up to St. Thomas and got some food - meat for barbecue tonight. Need to find fridge for it. Ate breakfast and now on our way to Boulder Workforce.
The lady at Boulder Workforce called Victor in and asked him if he was looking for a job. That that is what the computers are for. Last time(three months ago) Victor told the lady, "I already have a job. I'm saving the world." He forgot about that. I would have been cool except Boulder Workforce is a great resource for free. You can copy, fax and make local phone calls plus get online and check your email(if it's job-related). He told her that he wanted to be a web designer so she let him on the PC. I was able to fax the receipts to TNMO for our bus tickets. The lady said she should handle this by the end of the week. Of course I will call her Wednesday. So after Boulder Workforce we took the 208 bus, which was new to us all the way to the doctor's office. It took like three hours there, but I don't have cancer. My MRI test results, which I forgot to write about, were in,. I may need hip-replacement surgery, though. Then we walked to the bus stop. I had blisters so the nurse gave me some Bandaids. Rode bus to Arapahoe, saw Jay Gerke walking on Broadway. We got off at the Safeway and I "returned" some diapers for eleven dollars. Victor found a twenty dollar bill on the ground in front of the Starbucks inside Safeway. I got us some hot food at the deli. Barbecue chicken wings, macaroni salad, fried potato wedges and some German Chocolate cake for dessert. We ate there(without paying) and rode the Jump to the Bound. Got off on Baseline and saw Raja and Kent kickin' it. We went over to say hi, except our ex-land-lady has threatened all who still live there. Even Kent's not allowed to be there. So we split. We took the 203 to Rite Aid. I got a free atlas. I couldn't get my script filled there so we bought ice for the Mike's Hard Lemonade we had back at camp and took the bus home. The bus came right as we crossed the street. He waited for us and dropped us off right in front of our trail. When we got home I realized I had lost my phone. We smoked a bowl. I remember having my phone at the pharmacy because Kent and Raja called. They're going to come over. I must have left my phone at the Rite Aid. Damn!
Victor wanted to go walk and offered to go get it for me. He's a great boyfriend and an awesome person. He gets head tonight for sure! Oh, this morning we went to St. Thomas. Agnes wrote a check to my storage($50) in exchange for the old one we didn't use for bus fare. We got hooked up with some food. Even steaks, so we took them over to Old Man Dave's house to put in fridge. Tomorrow night we are all barbecuing and Bear Creek, or Canyon Creek with Dave, Joanna, Kent, etc. NEED BEER. Note to self. We also hit the trash cans and found some cool stuff. We had a pretty great day. Old Man Dave smoked us out too. Right now I am writing by candle-light waiting for my love to return. With Vic's twenty dollars he can get a camera and pay for his website for another month."
