11:00am Carol: "We got up. Vic got up earlier as
usual. We broke down camp and packed up, then walked to Lugena's. She's not
home. We brought Sueño, just in case. Victor took him back to camp and stashed
our packs. We decided we were premature in bringing Sueño. We'll go chill at our
pool resort until three, then walk over to Dave's. Hopefully he gets mail. We need
those checks to leave town. The phones will definitely be here today. Kent gets
off at six. We'll go there after we cash the checks. I pray to the universe that
this works out today. We have certainly put enough energy into it. There is a
cold front moving in and it's supposed to drop like twenty degrees tonight, and
rain. Since we only have two days left we hope Lugena will let us stay with
her. I'm waiting here for Victor to return so we can walk to the pool. It's
pretty windy and there are a lot of clouds. I sorta wish I had my hoodie. Hey,
maybe we should go to the thrift shop too. We need a small stove."
