Crescent City to Arcata to Eureka, CA

Thursday October 7, 2004

     8:07am  Crow and I are walking down Pacific Street. We have to get to Colorado, I think. Oh yeah, that old lady we met last night ended up letting us crash at her apartment. Oh, and right now I saw some transit guy, some bus driver. I walked up to him and asked him directions. I gave him my whole presentation. When I asked him for directions he asked me, "Do you know the counties here in California?" He told me, "You see, like over there you have Calaveras Street. The next one is Del Norte. The next on is El Dorado. They go in alphabetical order." He laid out a map for us. I appreciate it, brother.

     8:20am  Suki, I was walking in Crescent City, we were walking trying to find, I don't know. I asked her if she could spare a cigarette and she gave me one. I appreciate it, Suki. Everybody gets credit, thanks sister.

     8:25am  I just found out that Crow is an Aquarius also. February 12th.

                  This is the dawning.

     11:24am  We found Jim's apartment. We came over here. He even gave us breakfast and everything. We are now just taking off. We ate again and smoked a cigarette. I bought a pack. Turkish Jade Lights. Menthols, Camels. Now we're getting ready to go back to Eureka.

     11:38am  I forgot to mention. We're already on our way back to Humboldt. seventy eight miles to Eureka.

     1:15pm  Oh yeah, we're already back in Arcata! What a great jaunt up to Crescent City we just had. All we needed to get there was to want to go. All we needed was a reason to go. I was all bummed out because I knew I was going to need another recorder soon. They didn't have my recorder at Long's Drugs. I figured, "Well the closest Walmart is in Crescent City." I ran into Crow and we went to where you hitchhike North. Some guy gave us a ride in five minutes to Clam Beach. In no time we got a ride to the rest stop. We weren't there long and then we magically got a ride to our destination. Oh yeah, and Jim the guy who took us to Crescent City ended having the same recorder I needed, and only charged me ten bucks, saving me a whole twenty dollars(I'm going to buy a sack of weed, hehe). Some old lady walking down the street let us crash in her apartment. The next morning we walked back to Jim's and he brought us back to Humboldt.

     3:08pm  Dude, I had a good presentation with this girl Sarah at the bus stop. I'm on my way to the Southbound hitchhike spot to Eureka. In front of the U-Haul place. I was kind of bored and then I saw this lady at the bus stop. This lady named Sarah who runs all these businesses. She was just amazed with my story. She listened to every bit of it. Whole odyssey and everything. Awesome, awesome.

                   Sweet, I just walked up and there's a Mixed Berry 7-Up Plus sitting here waiting for me. Unopened. The universe provides. Thank you so much for everything you've let happen for me so far. I was bored. Thank you for it all. I am so appreciative of everything. Thank you, Love.

     3:25pm  Angel Reyes me recogio y me esta llevando a Eureka. To lo agradezco, hermano. Todo el mundo recibe crédito, gracias.

     4:04pm  Oh yeah, I'm in Eureka. I ran into Ton, who I met last time I was here(091203). He told me about the Unibomber last time. I'll look that up. Oh yeah, just right now these two dumbasses drove by and yelled at me. They told me, "Get a job!" I yelled back, "I have a job. I hav a full-time job. I don't get days off!"

     6:14pm  Kati finally came home. I had been waiting outside. That sucks she won't even kiss me anymore. We're not kissing. At least she'll still hug me. She told me, "I don't want to get into any self-destructive relationship where in the end I'll end up being hurt and bored." I told her, "I guess I understand." Damnit. No more Kati-Pie. She's going to let me sleep in the living room.

                  Oh yeah, I'm going walk to 11/M and buy some cigarettes.
