10:53am We're walking into town now. Six or seven of us. I met this girl Rosalinda this morning. She's from Cuba. From LA. I made some friends this morning. I didn't tell my story to anyone.
11:09am The four of us came to Ray's Food Place to use the restroom. Me, Rosalinda and two other guys.
12:03pm Some lady at the hospital, who didn't want to give her name, gave me three cigarettes. I appreciate it, sister. Wish I could give you credit.
12:29pm Me and Rosalinda we came to the hospital. She had to ask about her inhaler. I went to the library and we were just walking by and we found this big stack of books. Some of them are these Parabola magazine. There's a quote in one I want to get. It's, "Fate is not what happens to us; it's what we are - if we are true to ourselves."
2:37pm Man, we're having a good time. Rosalinda and I. We walked back over to Ray's. Oh yeah, I was told that Crow was looking for me. I thought, "Nah, I don't want to hang out with Crow. I want to hang out with Rosalinda." We came over to Ray's. She's got five bucks. We got a sandwich. We couldn't decide what we wanted so I just told the girl to surprise us. She even made us a cheaper sandwich and she made it all badass for us. She even gave us an extra chunk of chicken. She said, "Here, this wouldn't fit on the sandwich." Good things are happening.
4:15pm Rosalinda and I were walking by and we met Allison and George. Allison's hooking us up with a cigarette. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
4:29pm I ran into Mike from the barn. He was with this girl Katie last year. I remember that.
4:55pm Me and Rosalinda are walking back to camp. We found somebody's school ID. We turned it in at the Timber Service Company next door.
6:10pm Rosalinda and I are walking back to Ray's. Some brother hooked us up with some beers.
6:18pm Paulette gave me a cigarette in front of Ray's. I appreciate it, Paulette. Everybody gets credit, thanks.
Rosalinda just found out she had a fracture in her shoulder. Some guy had given her a massage earlier today. This guy also said he was working on fixing up a bus. That he was going to have computers on it and stuff. I'm going to help him. I might get my workstation. We just got invited. And, he's going to drive to Florida soon. That'd be my ride back to San Antonio. Around January, he said.
