Chicago, IL to St. Louis, MO
Tuesday November 6, 2007
6:42am Last night after the library I flew my sign some more. Oh yeah, I ran into Chris again! I smoked him out with the twenty sack he financed, hehe. I asked him if he was going to drive back into town the next day and he said yes. I asked him if I could crash at his condo again and he agreed, still needing to check with his mom. When he called his mom his mom asked him about the twenty dollars he had given me, that if I spent it on marijuana. He told his mom I had so she said she didn't feel comfortable with me being there with weed. So I walked to my place by the lake. I have this
beautiful walk into town every morning. I should take pictures. Oh yeah, there are these good quotes.

Told this kid my story.
12:14pm Around eleven twenty I was able to borrow a cellphone from a DePaul student and called my mom. She ordered my ticket for noon. Then I did a mad-dash/scramble to find the Greyhound station. Everybody I was asking was directing me to Union Station. Just in the nick of time I found it and I'm on the bus now. I missed lunch at the mission, but I have a pound of Trader Joe pecans that Chris' mother gave me. Anyway, I am on this crowded bus and I'm going to try and tell this pretty girl my story.
6:17pm I got to Saint Louis about five minutes ago. That "pretty" girl sitting next to me was ignorant to my story. The first time I asked her if she was willing to listen, she said she had a headache.
9:00pm I randomly walked into town. I stood and waited at some bus stop to ask for courtesy rides. After like the third time this beautiful black girl driver hooked me up. I rode the bus for a while and impulsively got off at some transfer center. I smoked a cigarette and and took a shit and ate some pecans and vitamins. I met this dude and this girl. The girl's name is Pooh. I asked the next driver for a ride and he hooked me up. Let's see where I end up.
9:49pm I randomly got off the bus because I thought I saw a taqueria. It ended up being closed, but this kid gave me some water. I walked not that much further to New China. I doubted at first, waited for some guy to leave and went in to try my luck. This cool Asian dude hooked me up! Fried chicken and lots of wontons. You know the things with the cream cheese in them.
Oh yeah! I can't believe I didn't mention this. At that transfer center I was at, when I first got there I had noticed that girl Pooh holding a book under her arm. It was a red book. Wondering, I asked her, "What book are you reading?" She said she didn't know, that she had just found it on the ground next to the trashcan. Lo and behold, guess what book it was. The very exact book I am reading right now. Angels and Demons! How crazy and random. At first I was, "Hey, that's my book. It must've fallen out of my bag. Wait, hold on." I looked in my blue purse and I still had it in there. I was just astonished. This book must be important and significant to my mission. I can't wait to finish reading it over and over again. Pooh gave it to me, so I have an extra copy to give somebody.
