12:35pm Man, another lazy day with Kati. Man, we had some great sex today. On the floor in the living room. Anyway, I just came out here. She gave me two dollars so I could buy some cigarettes. I walked to the store and got some Top tobacco and a Dr. Pepper for Kati. On the way back I stopped and talked to this kid. I walked by and he asked me, "Hey, aren't you the guy writing the book?" I told him yeah and he asked me if I could do him a favor. He had two cars and he needed to drive them out to Eureka. He asked me if I could drive one for him. I said sure, thinking it wouldn't take that long. I just came to Kati's apartment to give her her soda and I'll go help this guy. I don't remember what his name was.
12:57pm I am driving Hopi's car. I really don't remember him. I'll have to look him up. I'm following him to Eureka . . . in a car. I'm driving some Dodge.
Hopi sells cars. Hopi works for Satan.
1:55pm We came out to his sisters' house in Field's Landing. She's 29 and he's 28. She's married and has kids, I think. We're at her house.
1:56pm I just took a picture of Hopi at his sisters' house.
2:21pm Dude, this is starting to piss me off. It's as if this dude stole me from my day. Stole me from my Kati. I've been kidnapped. This pisses me off. He ran me all the way out to Field's Landing and now he's taking a long ass time. We had come and put his car somewhere, but he changed his mind about the location thinking it might get towed. So, we now have to go back to it and move it somewhere else. Traffic is all heavy and shit. Fuck cars..
Damnit, wasting time in a car. This is one of the places I most hate to be.
Now, we're driving all over Eureka. I don't know what this guys' problem is.
2:54pm I just got dropped off back at Kati's. Damnit, I had to be here by three, because she's leaving for work. Now, I don't have time to hang out with Kati.
Umm, just because of that I am going to stay another day.
4:20pm I am walking away from Kati's apartment. Kati works at The Raven House tonight from 5-10. She has to be there at 4:30pm. Cecilia came and picked her up. She didn't have to ride her bike into town and catch the bus. I wasn't ready when Cecilia left, so I just told Kati I would just walk into town and hitchhike to Eureka later. That's what I'm going to do.
4:26pm Oh yeah, I think I'm going to walk back to the skatepark and see if I can talk to any skaters. I'll ask around about El Jefe from NOFX.
4:35pm I'm at the skatepark. I'm going to watch these kids skate.
Nobody has a helmet on.
Well, this one guy.
5:24pm I walked all the way down K Street to Samoa over to the hitchhiking spot. Man, my left foot hurts like hell. I can't leave.
This is really distressing me about Kati. I don't want to all-out break up with her, but I need to be free for my mission. She meets two of my three pre-requisites for my traveling partner. She believes in me and smokes weed. If only she would walk with me. She says she's got her own mission to work on here in Arcata.
I need to be free so if I were to meet the girl who would walk with me, I can go for her. I shouldn't have to feel guilty about it either. Argh, love can definitely complicate things.
5:30pm Christ picked me up again! Wow, just out of the blue.
5:35pm I'm in Eureka already! Praise Christ! Hehe.
5:39pm I'm at The Raven House.
While I am at The Raven House I am not supposed to be touchin' and hugging on Kati. She's a supervisor and is not supposed to date clients. I was on the computer and Kati slipped me a note that said, "You don't go to my house. Ask me to take you to storage when you're finished with the computer." I spent like five minutes finishing up what I was doing and went over to Kati and asked her to show me the storage.
7:20pm Kati and I came down to the basement. She slipped me a note. We came to "look at the storage." We came to look at each other. Kati said she had always wanted to make out in the basement, hehe.
9:54pm I'm out here at the hitchhiking spot. I've already been out there for about fifteen minutes. I'm trying to get a ride back to Arcata. Kati told me to meet her at Emma's at 12:00am. That's her cat's name, so I know to go back to her apartment tonight.
10:20pm I'm already back in the plaza. That was badass. This dude Jay who works at The Raven House too, drove by. Jay hadn't even worked tonight. What a coincidence. He drove past the stop light and I heard him honk and saw him pull off. I ran over to him and he let me in the back seat. He was riding with his friend Chris, who when I sat down asked me, "Do you smoke weed?" and gave me a couple hits. How perfect. They gave me a ride back to Arcata. Oh yeah, I asked Jay if he recognized me from my walking stick and he said no, that it was the rainbow beanie.
I'm going to wait until midnight to go to Emma's house, hehe.
That's cool. I'm not hungry. I'm in Arcata. I'm stoned.
Oh yeah, and I told Jay and that dude what I was doing. I just told them my platform and stuff. Jay's email address is Jmonfort@cox.net.
11:29pm I'm walking to Kati's.
11:34pm I stopped to put my gloves on.
11:52pm I got to the gas station by Kati's. I'm going to sit here and smoke a cigarette.
12:05pm I walked up to Kati's apartment. All the lights are off and the door is locked. I'm guessing she's not home yet. There's a big bag of trash in front of the door so I'm taking that out now. To the dumpster.
I gently tapped on the door and started walking away. Just then I hear someone opening it and it was Kassandra. I asked her if I had woken her up and she said yes. Dude, I barely tapped on the door and she had been in her room. She didn't seem mad or anything and let me right in. I sat on the couch and about five minutes later Kati showed up.
