5:38am Argh, I didn’t get that much sleep last night. Iris and Ron were fighting all night. They wouldn’t shut the hell up. They were acting like little kids. Like high school again. I guess I’ll take a nap in a park or something.
6:08am I walked by Starbucks and got an idea. I walked in and was granted access to sit down and do some typing. Perfect.
8:40am I typed for a whole two hours at Starbucks. I might go take a nap. I might go take the laptop back to David and take a nap somewhere. I am already on the 2nd or the 3rd and it’s already the 9th. I’m catching up. I’m already back in Santa Ana in my typing.
8:55am I came over to the Isaiah House to give David’s laptop back. I don’t want to take a nap and still have it in my bag. When I got to the house David was coming out. Perfect timing, he told me. He was about to go on a “walk.” We’re going to smoke some resin.
10:00am My brother David and I went to the good ‘ol 420 bench and smoked some chronic resin. He has a carbless pipe that got resinated all good. It just broke so he’s getting his nature’s bonus. He’s got a good harvest. I had been thinking about coming over here just to drop off the laptop, but I’m all stoned now. I’m not going to get to sleep. He’s going to go get his laptop again for me and I’m going to type at the 420 bench. Then I’ll go take a nap. Then I’ll come back and see if I can borrow it later, hehe. Probably not. Peace.
Some lady
1:14pm I just had a bigass four-hour long typing session. Maybe not that long. The battery died on the laptop again. He brought me another badass chocolate chip muffin to eat. He got me some other snacks too. I’m going to eat and then return the laptop and go take a nap somewhere.
1:38pm The nice driver gave me a courtesy ride to the civic center. I’m going to go downtown and eat. The battery died on the laptop so I couldn’t type anymore. I’m on yesterday already. Then I’ll have to proofread it, add pictures and name pictures. I’ve got tons of pictures to add.
1:48pm I didn’t tell you. I was on the bus on the way downtown and out of the corner of my eye I see David walking and turning a corner. I immediately got off the bus and flagged him down. We’re smoking some more resin.
2:20pm Alana is giving me some food at the civic center. I appreciate it. I was hungry. Thanks for feeding the peace machine.
2:35pm I’m out here telling Brian my story. He gave me a cigarette earlier and I forgot to mention it. He just hooked me up with food too.
William Heat Least Moon. I’ll download that for sure. Recommendation by Matt? Blue Highway.
Download Siddhartha too.
5:12pm I didn’t tell you. I’ve decided to go to the armory tonight since I am so tired and couldn’t score a nap today. I started walking the wrong way. I was following these other homebums but I lost them. I walked Flower all the way to the high school and just stood at the bus stop waiting for a courtesy ride, or not. I gave all the high school kids my website at the bus stop. This one girl even told me, “Man, your shirts amazing.”
The greedy ass bus driver won’t give me a ride. Good little slave!
5:35pm I went on a huge hike. For some reason I didn’t think it was that far away. I came to the bus stop at Edinger and Flower. I had been speedwalking Flower. The greedy ass bus driver didn’t give me a ride. “I’m already on probation,” he said. Bullshit. Anyway, I walked up to the bus stop here and guess what I find pinched into the pole. A daypass! Perfect. I’m going to wait for the bus. It should be here any minute now.
5:46pm What a blessing that daypass is. The nice lady driver would’ve given me a courtesy ride anyway, I think.
6:07pm At long last I am walking up to the armory.
6:53pm I am standing in line at the armory.
9:25pm I am settled in at the armory. I should take a picture. It’s an old military armory. They’ve got all these cots on the ground. All these people were lined up and they were giving out clothes. I got some extra cargo shorts. It sucks, I took a shower and when I took off all my clothes I remember dropping my watch on the ground. It seems as if somebody stole it. So I lost my watch, so now I have to be dependent on asking people what time it is every time I make an entry. Or maybe I’ll just have a lot of timeless entries now. It’s alright. I really need to get a full night’s sleep. I only got four hours last night. I’ve been tired all day. I walked a hell of a lot to get here. Here I am. Going to bed now.
I met all these people, these volunteers here. There was a volunteer from Argentina and another one from Egypt, this pretty girl. I want to tell so many people my story here, but they’re busy volunteering.
