San Francisco, CA
Monday December 30, 2002
Okay, this is the continuation of the tape. It's the 30th of December of 2002. I rode the bus to Fillmore. Okay, I'm going to walk around here and check out this part of town.
Dude, I just scored some food at the KFC. My 'ol gasoline-for-the-stomach line worked. Even in San Francisco. The guy at the KFC told me, "I can't give you chicken, though. Maybe some biscuits or something." I just smiled and told him to surprise me. Mmm, that was good. Two biscuits and some mashed potatoes with gravy. Yum yum.
Man, this is all high-class and everything. Alice and Steiner. That's where I am.
I'm just walking around the neighborhood by KFC. I'm at O'farrel and Scott by some middle school. I forgot the name. Hmm, I want a cigarette.
Cool, I was walking by and I see a library that's open. I thought libraries were closed on Mondays over here.
Okay, I stopped in at the library. They have a computer there where I can get on the Internet, but I can't spend a lot of time there, so I can't type up my chapters. I can just check my email, which I checked earlier today and I had nothing new. I'm just going to keep walking. There's a neighborhood close by. I'm going to go walk through it and see if I meet anybody.
Here I am wandering around San Francisco. Damnit, my rain pants ripped at the crotch and they're falling apart. I need a drink of water.
Okay, the time is now 5:35am. I just caught the bus to Beach and Powell. Man, the city is dead. Someone told me to catch the 15 somewhere. Ahh, I'm going to ride the bus around all day I guess. I'll rest my feet.
I don't know what happened to the rest of the day, but I somehow lost it in my logs. Sorry.
