[13:44.54] <seeker> I think that most of the time, it's something quite silly akin to opening a fortune cookie

[13:46.38] <seeker> but I also think that there's something about the esoteric nature of it, particularly when it's done by professionals like your mount shasta friend, that allows us to express intuitive ideas in a way that they can be understood

[13:47.54] <seeker> also, I know it's based on the movements of celestial bodies, and it would be arrogant of me to assume that there's not something there that has to do with their movements that we don't understand yet :P
