San Antonio, TX

Wednesday January 19, 2005

8:20am  I woke up not too long ago. I think I'm going to take off walking again today. It's an every other day thing. I hope there's some good stuff for breakfast. I've got like two dollars for weed too.

Umm, I mean bus fare, hehe.

9:02am  Mike(1-14-05, 8:29am) randomly showed up at my mom's house. He offered to smoke me out and share his cigarette with me! We're going to go hang out at his apartment in Medical Center. I'm going to walk downtown from his apartment. Then walk back. He gave me a good little boost for my walk today. This is exercise-day.

9:57am  It's cool what happened today. This dude Mike just randomly knocked on my door this morning. We smoked a joint on the back porch and then went to his apartment and smoked some more weed. I am in Medical Center now real close to Walnut Springs, the first apartments Chasity and I lived at.

I had just gotten ready to leave walking when Mike knocked on the door. I was burning a backup like I have been doing when I take off walking lately. Just in case the computer were to disappear I wouldn't lose all this work I'm doing. Like that's what I was waiting for to leave, my CD to burn. I'm glad I was paranoid and took the time to make that backup, or I would have left already and wouldn't have been there to get smoked out.

Mike lives in Arbor Point apartments, over by where I used to live with Chasity a long time ago. I'm going to walk to Medical Center then walk downtown.

I'm going to walk somewhere totally different today. I don't know where I'm going to go. Oh yeah, and Mike kicked me down a little bit of weed for my walk today.

I'm wearing my Let's Go Bite Some Yankees shirt too.

You see how great things happen to me?

10:00am  I'm walking in front of 2020 Babcock, my future headquarters. The office building with the big rainbow in front of it.

Oh yeah, for breakfast I had three Toaster Scrambles and a bowl of cereal.

     10:10am  I just passed Callaghan.

I've just been walking Babcock straight. I'm inside the loop now.

There's Taqueria Mi Jalisco. I'm going to eat.

10:28am  Daniel en la Taqueria Mi Jalisco en Babcock me esta dando gasolina para mi estomago. Te lo agradezco, Daniel. Todo el mundo recibe crédito, gracias.

I scored at that place. I told him my line in Spanish. Instead of saying "Estoy escribiendo un libro," I say, "Estoy escribiendo un documentario sobre la generosidad." Scored me some food.

I am on my way to save the world. I turned around so they could see my peace tattoo.

10:42am  I ate my two badass tacos. I smoked a cigarette and took a hit of weed. I'm walking now. Dude, that's awesome. See how things go my way? Mike came to my house this morning and ended up taking me to his apartment in Medical Center and kicks me down a little weed.

I got pulled out of the house today.

With the Internet . . . now I'm playing with power.

10:52am  I am still walking down Babcock passing Overbrook. I'm already by Fredericksburg but I'm not walking Fred into town. I'm going to go down Dickinson that runs parallel to Fredericksburg but through a neighborhood.

11:15am  Dickinson and Manor. About to cross Donaldson.

11:19am  Just passed W Kings Hwy. Still walking on Dickinson.

11:25am  I was just walking down Dickinson. I walked by and in this little alley in the grass I saw some kid crashed out sleeping. He was just crashed out. I thought he might be dead so I walked up to him. When I got close he woke up suddenly. I told him, "Hey man, want to wake-n-bake?" He said sure! He said, "That's a good thing to wake up to." So I'm smoking AJ out. He's eighteen. What's your email address? TrixR4kidzsyum@aol.com

11:48am  I just got up and I'm walking. I got to tell AJ my story!

I'm walking down Mistletoe now. I hope I'm going the right way. I'm still going South. There's Woodlawn over there.

     11:54am  Now crossing Kampmann.

What a great morning I've had just walking down this neighborhood. I'm sure I've been through here before, but I don't know when. It's all quiet and serene. I am just enjoying myself so much. The birds are making pretty noises. It's awesome.

12:02pm  Walking Mistletoe, passing Lake Blvd. To the left I saw Woodlawn Lake.

     12:07pm  Passing San Antonio Street.

     12:11pm  Passing N Zarzamora.

                     Passing N Calaveras.

12:18pm  Man, these are awesome houses right here. They're all individual. I just passed this cool little Hansel and Gretel house right next to 1516. To the right of 1516. I can't make out the address on it.

Oh yeah, Mistletoe ended up at some ditch. I'm walking on W Woodlawn now. Going to turn left. Go under the highway right here.

I can't reiterate enough how I give all the cars the peace sign. I walk so much. I am saturating this town with my presence.

12:43pm  Here I am at Fredericksburg.

I'm walking and right before downtown, under this bridge, I see these three Mexican dudes walking. I gave them the peace sign. One of the guys yelled, "Hey, you look like Jesus!"

I should have told him, "Nah, I'm San Antonio."

1:02pm  Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. I'm downtown already. I'm going to the park.

1:07pm  Noah hooked me up with a cigarette at Travis Park. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.

I just sat down and smoked a cigarette and I'm going to walk West. I'm going to walk home now. There's nothing going on downtown. The park is pretty empty.

I'm just walking down Martin. I'm right near the jail again.

1:42pm  Michelle hooked me up with a cigarette. I was walking in front of the jail and at the bus stop I spotted this cute hip chick smoking a cigarette. I was going to bum one off her and hit her up for my story. I got a little closer and she waves at me and yells, "Hey, walking man!" She's already heard my story! She gave me a cigarette. I appreciate it.

Haha, right in front of the jail.

Michelle: "I'm just trying to get my man out of jail here, so of course it's probable that I see him. He's walking around downtown. I'm all sick because it's frickin' cold, man. My man's in jail for two MTR's. Motion to revoke. He skipped out on probation, but it was kind of bullshit. They also got him for not getting clean enough, that's what they said. He wasn't smoking, but he he wasn't getting clean enough. That's my story, man."

1:50pm  The 77 pulled up and some guy got off the bus. After I talked to Michelle, who had recognized me from before, some guy gets off the 77 and says, "Hey, what's up, man? I haven't seen you in a long time." Like over a year I met Eddie in Travis Park, he said.

2:18pm  I just turned right on Zarzamora. I finally told that dude Eddie that I had to get walking. He said he would walk with me. Eddie is all ignorant and wanting a car real bad.

Hmm, I think I'm going to stop at Fred's Fish Fry. I've got a couple bucks. Maybe I'll try and hit them up for free food. I don't know.

2:20pm  They told me no at the Fred's. Greedy asses.

I told the girl, "I was just testing you. Your greedy ass failed."

2:27pm  Rafael me dio un cigaro en Tony and Son's auto repair. Gracias, Rafael.

     2:43pm  Turning left on Culebra.

2:45pm  Walking in front of Mi Guadalajara. This Mexican restaurant I got hooked up last time(1-15-05, 12:56pm). I'm not hungry enough to ask for food yet, though. Later on, I'm walking now.

2:59pm  Haha, I just crossed the street in front of a cop when the light was red. I gave him the peace sign. I'm at Bandera already.

3:02pm  Oh yeah, I didn't tell you. I decided I was going to go all the way up Bandera home. Right now I'm going to go hit up Domino's for any mistakes.

The guy at the Domino's, some Mexican guy, he all told me, "I wish I did. We haven't had any business." I told him, "It's the thought that counts. Thanks anyway."

3:08pm  I'm going to go fuel up at El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant. Cincinnati and Bandera.

                   Just you watch.

3:12pm  Me dieron comida en el restauran. Te lo agradezco. Todo el mundo recibe crédito, gracias. Calling the shots, calling the shots. Remember I told you, "Just you watch?"

She told me to sit down. She even brought me out some chips and salsa. They offered me a soda, but I told them no, that I had my water.

3:26pm  I got gassed up good at that restaurant. Dude, they treated me like royalty. Just like they did at the one in El Paso(11-12-04, 1:49pm). They gave me like four tacos! Each one different. It was awesome. I am so full. They even gave me chips.

3:57pm  I haven't told you. I was walking down Bandera after I got hooked up at El Sombrero. Luis picked me up! My mom's ex-husband. Him and his wife and Celina his daughter were in the car. He pulled up and said, "Hey, do you need a ride?" I told him, "I'm going to walk." He told me, "Ah, you can walk tomorrow." I thought, "Oh well, screw it. I guess I'll take a ride." We stopped at his house at Sunnycrest and Celina and Imelda got off and Luis drove me to my mom's. I got to tell Luis my story. Well, I didn't tell him the whole thing because he was ignorant and his cellphone kept going off. He just dropped me off at the Citgo.

Badass! I bought a pack of Kools for this middleschool kid and he gave me all these dollars and told me to keep the change. So I have two dollars and he gave me like three cigarettes. Perfect, man. Perfect. Thank you, Love.

     4:17pm  I'm at my mom's house already.

7:15pm  I don't feel too hot. I'm going to go to sleep. I'm tired. I walked a lot today. I'm going to take a shower.

Next day..
