Boulder to Nederland, CO

     7:46am  I just woke up.

     8:03am  I came to the Conoco across the street to shit and shave. I've been thinking I want to go visit the Circle A Ranch in Lafayette(8-8-04, 6:55pm) to get a haircut and see if they have a CD burner.

                   I went back to the Flowerama and grabbed my backpack. I stashed it back there, but I'm going to need it.

     8:43am  I am walking down Edgewood Drive.

     8:50am  Turning left on 19th Street.

     9:10am  I made my way all the way to Boulder Station and the Long Jump Driver hooked me up being a quarter short. I appreciate it, driver.

     9:33am  I am in Lafayette. I got dropped off by the Citgo. I'm going to walk to the Circle A Ranch and see if there are any people still there. Try and score me a shower.

     9:41am  The Circle A Ranch seems to be closed. Nobody's here. I went and looked at the big pit in back and it's filled with junk.

     9:48am  I am already back in Boulder. I paid busfare with my last dollar. I'm going to go to Pearl Street and tell people my story and try to get smoked out somewhere. I need to try and find someone with a CD burner so I can make copies of my stuff to hand out.

                   Haha, there's a sign in the bus that says, "It's not fair to not pay the fare. It could cost you up to $118. Paying anything less than the full fare is not only unfair, it's against the law. So please pay the correct amount. You don't want to be fined." Haha, that's hilarious. When this driver pulled up I got on and said, "All I have is a dollar," and he let me on.

                   I got off the bus at the KFC/Taco Bell where they hooked me up last year(8-19-04, 5:00pm). Let's see if they hook me up with breakfast.

     10:08am  They gave me the 'ol manager's not there line. Bullshit.

     10:11am  I went in the Conoco and asked if they would hook me up with a hotdog and the dude told me no.

                     I saw a sign pointing to the University of Colorado. I want to go to the library and see if they have a CD burner I can use.

     10:46am  Just walked to the Norlin Libary.

     10:48am  You don't have to be a student to use the computers here, but you do have to be a student to use one with a CD burner.

     11:05am  I got off on Arapahoe and Folsom. I recognized that Tastefully Toasted place I got hooked up at last year(8-4-04, 1:17pm). I'm going to go hit them up again.

     11:06am  Just like last year. Tastefully Toasted is hooking me up again. I appreciate it, brother.

                     Rincon del Sol, across the street. A Mexican restaurant. Sweet, I'm going to eat.

     11:25am  Mauricio, en Rincon del Sol me esta dando gasolina para mi estomago. Te lo agradezco, senor. Todo el mundo recibe crédito, gracias.

                     I scored me a lot of food at that Mexican place. That guy was all about helping me out.

                     Right now I saw these kids walking down the sidewalk. I asked them if they could point me to the mall. Just then this dumbass cop yells at me, "Get out of the street!" Tough guy, big man, do what you can.

     11:47am  I walked all the way to the mall. I'm going to sit down and eat.

     1:30pm  I was telling Thomas my California story. All of a sudden he asks me, "Do you want to come on a walk with us?" We all came to Settler's Park and Sean is being nice enough to smoke everybody out with some good weed. We all appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit, thanks.

                   It's so cool I got smoked out. I had made a prayer to Love earlier. Oh yeah, I read the Note From the Rich out-loud. They loved it. I tried reading Fawn's Message to All, but I kind of lost some of the guys with it.

     3:09pm  Back in the mall. Settler's Park is at the very end of Pearl Street. That's where the hitchhike spot to Nederland is too.

                   Had me a great presentation with these three kids right now. In front of the Boulder Cafe.

     6:34pm  Shirley just walked by and I asked her if she could spare any change for world peace. She hooked me up with two dollars. Her friend Martha gave me another dollar. I appreciate it, guys. Everybody gets credit, thanks.

     6:55pm  Mission accomplished. Got my pill. I don't know when I'll trip. I've never done mescaline before, but it's natural so I'll try it.

     7:05pm  Robert hooked me up with a dollar. Whoa, he hooked me up with two.

     8:10pm  I've decided I'm going to go to Nederland. It's real easy to hitchhike there. I'm walking to the end of Pearl Street by Settler's Park. Let me see if there's a bus stop over there.

     8:27pm  I walked up to the end of Pearl and now I'm going to hitchhike to Ned. There's another dude here with a dog. He's hitchhiking too.

                   It's awesome, the lady that gave us a ride to Ned hooked us up with five dollars each. We bought some snacks.

                   I don't know what time it is, it's dark, but we are at the 37½ mile marker.
